Day 7 of 50 days until I’m 50. I really wanted to touch on what it’s like to have a face that is aging today. When I was younger I thought it would bother me much more than it does. Of course there are some days where I feel like I want to fight the aging process but I’m honestly much more concerned with other things like how I feel not how I look or the state of the world or my family and friends and if I can help them in any way. Don’t be afraid of aging, in many ways it’s rather liberating!

Starting to lift weights almost 6 months ago has changed my life for the better without a doubt. It’s added to my life in so many palpable and measurable ways. This is not just something that can happen for me, it’s available to all who try. You just have to start!

I had no idea how much I was going to love this! I feel soooo good consistently! The combination of lifting weights, doing yoga and upping my nutrient dense foods seems to be the magic combination for me.
Also why does Instagram think that ass is a swear word and has bleeps it out? Is ass a swear word….???

I bet the “new year new me” crowd has already dropped off - am I right? Statistically 80% of people who set New Year’s resolutions will have already quit about a week ago. I don’t love setting goals for the first of January. It feels like such an arbitrary day to do that. I do like to think about what I will change and what I will keep throughout the following year. I start to implement new things when the weather starts to get a bit warmer. At this time of year I like to think about the best things that I want to bring into the year that I liked from the previous year. These are some of them. Remember you can start anything new whenever you want to and if you want to succeed you just need to keep doing it over and over again even in the days you don’t feel like it! If you’re feeling defeated about quitting something you thought you wanted don’t you can start again in the blink of an eye. You don’t fail unless you stop trying!

Let this be a gentle reminder to get your health checked! If you notice anything different to usual it’s important that you see a medical professional. Even someone who lives a healthy lifestyle can have health issues as they age. I was pretty surprised to get these results and very happy that I listened to my body and had a check up!
