南アフリカ太古の森プラットボス周辺で火災が発生し1週間。かなり大規模なエリアが焼けました。
上空から見ると、防火帯がどれだけ重要か良くわかる。
これから火災シーズンに向けて、被害に合ったものの修復など含め募金を募ってます。よろしくお願いします🥺

We are overwhelmed and deeply grateful! 🥹💚
Thanks to an incredible outpouring of generosity from our community, we have smashed our initial R100,000 goal! This success ensures that the immediate emergency costs incurred this week (labour overtime, fuel, equipment repairs, and the new bakkiesakkie) are fully covered.
However, we are not entirely out of the woods yet, and this is only the start of a long, dangerous summer season. With media and tourism partners helping us spread the word (thank you!!), we must act now to secure the future of our old-growth forests and reforestation sites. As such, we are increasing our goal to R200,000!
The next R100,000 raised will be dedicated to purchasing additional, crucial firefighting equipment and improving disaster risk management in collaboration with neighbouring properties. This will ensure our team is even more prepared to defend the forest and surrounding landscapes against future fires that are sure to come.
