Since 1953, the company Dr. Jean Bausch GmbH manufactures specific articulation and occlusion testing paper, with the aim of reaching a possible exact representation of occlusal proportions on the chewing surfaces. The founders of the company, dentists Dr. Jean Bausch and Dr. Hans Bausch, have long recognized the need to develop a pressure-sensitive articulating paper to illustrate the different masticatory forces by representing them in colored pressure points. This principle of progressive color transfer remains an important and safe method for the accurate detection.
