When you plan for your departure from Japan, make sure you get your PCR test done WITHIN 72 hours of your last connecting flight out of Japan, NOT your first flight out of your local airport.
Here is a simple image to help you plan your trip. Remember, there is no testing or picking up of results on Sundays, so plan your trip accordingly to avoid losing a day.

New rules for traveling to China.
Starting September 13, if you had tested positive for COVID-19 before and planned on traveling to China, you'd need to get TWO PCR tests and a chest X-ray or Chest CT scan in Okinawa first. Contact us to schedule for these screening tests.

We are offering two new routine physical packages. If you have Foreign Service Benefit Plan, your insurance covers Package A. If you have other insurance which we are direct billing partner of, please find out beforehand if your insurance plan covers these routine physicals and obtain a guarantee of payment before your visit.
In general, appointments are not necessary for routine physicals, but do call or message us to find out when is the best time to come in and for fasting instructions.

・Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes!

・How much does the test cost?

Test: 25,000 JPY
Certification: 2,200 JPY
"Fit to Fly" certificate (Thailand): 2,200 JPY

・When can I schedule a test?

Monday 10:00~16:00
Tuesday 10:00~16:00
Wednesday 10:00~16:00
Thursday 10:00~12:00
Friday 10:00~16:00
Saturday 10:00~12:00

・When will I get my results?

48 hours at the earliest.

For example you get the test on Monday morning, the earliest we can get the result to you would be Wednesday morning; if you get the test on Monday afternoon, the result will come back at the earliest Wednesday afternoon. That gives you less than 24 hours to fly out. So please plan your trip accordingly.

・Are there days I should avoid scheduling a flight?

Yes. Please avoid scheduling flights on Sundays, Monday mornings and Tuesdays, as you will not be able to get your certification in time. Our advice is, call and give us your tentative flight schedule before making the purchase, we can help you over the phone and plan the best date and time for your test.

When you are ready to make appointment, please have the following information ready when you contact us:

・What do I need to make an appointment?

1) Your full name as it appears on your passport
2) Your date of birth
3) Your local address if you have one. If you are staying at a hotel, give us the name of the hotel and phone number
4) Your contact number
5) The model of the car you will be coming in, its color and license plate number

・Are there anything else I need to be aware of on the day of the test?

1) DO NOT eat or drink an hour prior to the test.
2) DO NOT use any mouthwash that day.
3) The test is a drive through test. When you arrived at the hospital premise, remain in your car and call us or LINE us, our staff will come out and guide you to the test area.
4) If you can, please bring exact change for the test and certificate(s).
5) Please make sure ALL persons in the car have a mask on.

Have you ever wondered how medical bills are kept low in Japan? This has to do with how medical costs are financed, and it is a very complicated system. Here is a simple breakdown graph of financial sources. As you can see, the insurance premium pool, which is paid into by employers and the insured persons, contributes to 50% of the financial sources. Public expenditures from national and regional treasuries contribute another 38%, and the remaining is patient's co-share.
日本醫療費用之所以可以便宜，是完全靠整個系統背後的財源來支撐。以財源別來說，50%是來自是業主和被保人每個月繳納的保費，以及38%由國庫和地方財庫支出的經費和患者的個人負擔費用。
