At the very beginning of last month I was blessed to support my 300th family in welcoming their baby!!!! I know I only have a small portion of the families I've served on social media but, would love to see how my Doula baby's have grown. Feel free to share pics of your beautiful babies! Hard to believe some of them are heading into the 5th grade. 🤰🤱💞

More in the life as a Doula. We spend our lives on call. Completely available to serve our clients and staying close to where they live. For me that meant being away from my own family for FOUR days straight. And being up with calls and texts overnight for days before joining a beautiful couple overnight in welcoming their first baby and being with them for 26 hours with no sleep following the call to come. This is the Doula life. This is one of the many reasons I charge what I do and why I'm super thankful for my amazing husband Dwayne Richards . Knowing he's there and making sure all is taken care of with the kids is what puts me in the mindset to soley focus on my clients need for their birth. I'm very sleepy and very blessed 🥰

Sleep? What is sleep lol. Due dates mean nothing. Four Mamas have had their babies this week. With estimated due dates ranging from November 19th through December 25th. I served one of the families for 37 hours straight and another for 17 hours. Babies take as long as they need. Congratulations to my two VBA2C Mamas, my VBAC Mama and my 2nd time Mama. So proud of you all 🥰

Happy Small Business Saturday! In 2014 I found myself doing lots of research regarding labor. I truly didn't know what was drawing me to look up the protocols of hospitals versus what a Mama wants for her birth since at that point, I thought family was complete. Then I came across DOULA'S!!! My life has forever changed since.
