Complications of herniated disc disease you should know before it's too late:
1- Causing paralysis and disability
Paralysis and lifelong disability are the most dangerous complications of herniated disc. When suffering from this complication, the patient will completely lose the ability to move the limbs, can not walk, can only lie still in place. Or get treatment as soon as possible to avoid this bad situation.
2- Damage to the nervous system
The micro-spinal is where a lot of nerves run along, so when a herniated disc occurs, the spine will be damaged, resulting in these nerves being affected as well. This is the main cause of the pain occurring.
When the disease begins to enter the local stage, these pains also appear with greater frequency and intensity. The pain will not only affect the spine and back, but will spread to the arms and legs. The pain increases with the level of activity and force on the spine, so the patient needs more rest to avoid further damage.
3- Intermittent lame pain syndrome
Clamping claudication syndrome is a fairly common complication in people with spinal herniation. This is a movement disorder, making the patient unable to control their own health and activities. The clear manifestation of this complication is: The patient cannot move continuously, is forced to rest after a few steps, many people call this intermittent radiculopathy.
4- Disorders of excretion
Herniated disc disease in the lumbar region can cause the joints of the spine to be displaced from the position they existed in the beginning, causing the nerves here to be compressed. This is the cause of the round muscle disorder, causing the patient to have a syndrome of urinary disorders, urinary incontinence. At first, the patient only has urinary retention, gradually the disease gets worse, the patient will often wet the bed, even the urine will flow out unconsciously, unstoppable.
