Two photos. Same person. Different seasons.
The photo on the right was taken this summer during competition prep — dialed in, disciplined, and peak conditioning.
The photo on the left was taken in January. After the holidays, after months of building out the new gym, recovering from competition prep and a little overtraining. Training wasn’t the priority for a bit, and the nutrition definitely wasn’t as tight.
And that’s life.
Fitness isn’t a straight line. It’s cycles. Peaks, valleys, rebuilding, and rising again.
Too many people quit during the “valley” phase because they think they’ve fallen off. But the truth is, **everyone has these phases** — even coaches, even competitors.
The key isn’t being perfect year-round.
The key is **consistency over time**.
Keep showing up.
Keep training.
Keep making the next better decision.
If you stay steady, you’ll find your way back to your peak again — no matter your age.
That’s how real, sustainable fitness works.
