St. Clare’s Kaplong Mission Hospital has launched a new medical oxygen system aimed at improving patient care and saving lives. This milestone was made possible through the support of the hospital’s CEO, Sr. Judith Immaculate, together with Amref Health Africa, whose collaboration has ensured patients in need of oxygen therapy can now access it reliably and efficiently.

The new system will greatly benefit patients with respiratory conditions, surgical cases, and those in critical care. It also strengthens the hospital’s capacity to respond to emergencies and to support key departments such as ICU, theatre, and maternity.

Speaking during the launch, Sr. Judith Immaculate expressed gratitude to Amref and all partners for their commitment to improving healthcare delivery in the region. She reaffirmed the hospital’s dedication to offering compassionate, affordable, and modern medical services to the community.

This development reflects St. Clare’s mission of continually upgrading its facilities to meet modern standards while ensuring no patient is left without the care they deserve.

St.Clare’s Kaplong Mission Hospital, successfully conducted a two-day medical camp at Kokwet Fortenan on 15th and 16th August 2025.

The camp was aimed at bringing healthcare services closer to the community and ensuring access to quality medical care for all, especially those who face challenges accessing hospital services.

During the camp, our dedicated team of healthcare professionals offered free medical consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and health education. Various services provided included:

General outpatient consultation and treatment

Screening for hypertension, diabetes, and other chronic illnesses

Maternal and child health services

Counseling and health awareness sessions

Over the two days, a large number of community members benefited from the services. Many were able to receive treatment, while others were referred for specialized care at St. Clare’s Kaplong Mission Hospital.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Kokwet Parish, led by Fr. Christopher, for the warm welcome, hospitality, and support that contributed greatly to the success of this camp. Their collaboration and encouragement created a friendly environment for both the medical team and the community members.

The medical camp was a great success, not only in improving access to healthcare but also in fostering a stronger bond between the hospital and the community

Jubilee Day for Sports – A Celebration of Unity, Spirit, and Community

The Jubilee Day for Sports at St. Clare’s Kaplong Mission Hospital was a vibrant and uplifting event that brought together staff, students, and the wider community in celebration of athletic talent, teamwork, and spiritual reflection. The event was honored by the presence of Rt. Rev. Bishop Alfred Rotich, who led the day with a solemn blessing and a powerful message on the importance of unity, discipline, and faith through sports.

Also gracing the occasion was Sr. Immaculate Judith, the CEO of St. Clare’s Kaplong Mission Hospital, whose inspiring support continues to empower holistic development in both health and community outreach. The event was further dignified by the attendance of several notable guests and leaders who came to show solidarity and encouragement for the values being celebrated.

Bishop Rotich reminded all in attendance that sports are not only a form of physical expression but also a platform for peace, inclusion, and moral growth. The day concluded with lively competitions, joyful interaction, and a renewed spirit of togetherness — a true testament to the Jubilee’s meaning.
