We had a productive and insightful breakfast meeting with the team from Equity Bank – Kimilili Branch.

It was a great opportunity to engage in a meaningful learning session focused on preventive health awareness, emphasizing the importance of early screening and proactive care. We also shared more about the specialists we have on board and the range of conditions they are equipped to manage.

We appreciate the warm engagement and look forward to continued collaboration in promoting better health within the community.

Cholesterol: A Silent Health Risk

Many people have heard the word cholesterol, but few really understand it.

Cholesterol is a type of fat in the body that actually helps us. Our bodies produce it naturally, and it helps build body cells and hormones.

However, when cholesterol becomes too much in the blood, it can slowly start blocking the blood vessels.

When blood vessels become narrow, blood cannot flow well to important organs like the heart and brain. This can lead to heart attack or stroke.

The difficult part is that high cholesterol usually has no signs or symptoms. A person may feel completely healthy while the problem is quietly developing.

That is why it is important to check your cholesterol levels through regular health screening.

Take care of your heart.
Visit us today for a simple health check-up and know your cholesterol levels.

Visit our hospital for a check up with a PHYSICIAN EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY FROM 9AM.

Why Must I Take Antibiotics for the Full Prescribed Duration?

Many patients start feeling better after 2–3 days of taking antibiotics and wonder:

“If I feel fine now, why should I continue?”

Here is why.

When you begin antibiotics, the medicine starts killing the bacteria causing the infection.
The most sensitive bacteria die first — which is why fever, pain, and swelling improve quickly.

However, feeling better does not always mean the infection is completely cleared.

✅️If antibiotics are stopped too early:

✅️Some bacteria may remain alive

✅️The infection can return

✅️The illness may become harder to treat

✅️Future treatment may require stronger medication

For many common infections, several days of consistent treatment are necessary to completely eliminate the bacteria. That is why your healthcare provider prescribes a specific number of days — often around five days for mild infections.

The exact duration depends on:

✅️The type of infection

✅️Its severity

✅️The part of the body affected

✅️Your overall health

To protect your health:

✅️Take antibiotics exactly as prescribed

✅️Do not skip doses

✅️Do not share medication

✅️Do not stop early unless advised by your healthcare provider

✅️Feeling better is a good sign — but it does not always mean cured.

If you have any questions about your medication, please speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
