moking causes cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung diseases, diabetes, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Smoking also increases risk for tuberculosis, certain eye diseases, and problems of the immune system, including rheumatoid arthritis.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Alhamdu Rehabilitation And Treatment Centre is a residential substance use disorders treatment facility that also that incorporates spirituality through the use of the Islamic faith principles to ensure holistic care is provided to individuals and families seeking help from substance use disorders and other underlying psychosocial concerns. Our program is anchored on the teaching of the Islam faith that guides the day to day operations of the Irshad rehabilitation program.

VISION STATEMENT
To be the lead institution in the provision of “culture-sensitive” client-centered treatment and support to individuals and families suffering from substance use disorders and other underlying psychosocial concerns.

MISSION STATEMENT
To capacity build and bring positive change to individuals and families through the provision of effective long-term treatment and support for addictive disorders through the provision of clinical substance use disorder treatment services, linkages to recovery support platforms and capacity building and psycho-education and research.
