‎The greatest enemy of progress and growth is fear. It breeds doubt and tension, clouding our ability to see beyond the mirage it creates. 🌫️

‎So often, we want to step forward, break out of our comfort zones, start something new, but then fear creeps in.
‎We grow anxious, too scared to begin. 🚶

‎And it’s okay to feel that way. It’s human.
‎But it’s also important to understand:
‎How deep does this fear run?
‎And what can we do to move through it, so we can explore our full potential? 💭

‎When fear arises, ask yourself:
‎❓ What’s the worst that can happen?
‎❓ Can I change the outcome?

‎If yes → take action.
‎If no → acknowledge what’s beyond your control, and adjust.
‎It’s a practice in courage and surrender. 🤲

‎Remember: what you water, grows.
‎If you feed fear, it blooms.
‎If you water courage, you grow forward. 🌱

‎So just for today… face that one fear.
‎Quiet that anxiety.
‎Step closer to the life you’re meant to live. 💛

‎✨ You are stronger than what scares you.

‎Dear Serene Human,

‎Time and seasons mean different things to each of us:
‎Birth or death 🌱🍂
‎Growth or regression 📈📉
‎Love or hate ❤️🔥
‎Beginnings or endings 🎬🫧or maybe, simply, dusk turning into dawn.

‎Life is unpredictable, sometimes we call it fate. There are moments we can shape, and others where we must learn to flow.

‎What guides us through it all?
‎Our true character, how we cope, adapt, and gently steer our own journey.

‎1️⃣ Accept
‎Change is constant. Accepting it is the first step to embracing it, even when we don’t know the why or when.

‎2️⃣ Prepare
‎Gather your resources: mental, physical, financial, social. Being ready softens the weight of what’s to come.

‎3️⃣ Evaluate
‎Ask: What possibilities could this change bring? Clarity helps us choose our direction wisely.

‎4️⃣ Deal with it
‎Face the season, no matter how tough or simple. The challenges often hold the meaning.

‎5️⃣ Appreciate
‎Every season shapes our story. It marks our growth, resilience, and the quiet milestones we carry forward.

‎In the end, how we adjust to these seasons shows our capacity for growth and grace.

‎🌿 What’s a season you’re learning to embrace right now?
‎Share below, I’d love to hear.

‎Dear Serene Human,

‎Closing chapters and opening new ones can be tough😮‍💨. The expectations, adjustments, timelines, efforts, resources and resilience needed requires much more strength💪🏻 and change than we can sometimes gather.

‎The comfort zones we were at, they brought so much more peace of mind compared to the uncertainties we have to face. Hibernation isn't a bad thing after all, it saves energy and effort, but then for how long is it enough?🤔

‎The Serenity Prayer grounds us on "accepting the things that we cannot change and the courage to change the things that we can change"🤯. But do we know where, when and how?. We only have the "Who".

‎So yes, new beginnings are tough, each new season demands a different version of yourself and most times the changes and shifts we need to make during this change are the hardest steps we need to make to get there.🥺

‎Accept that:
1. ‎Change is a season that demands a new version of you. 🍂Change is necessary and essential, no one can do it for you but only you.

2. ‎Hibernation feels safe... but is it enough? 🤔 Every new version / phase requires patience, understanding and focus. Rome wasn't built in a day, if you give up and let go, no one will get it done for you.
3. ‎New beginnings are tough. Period....Most times, those tiny little efforts that you overlook are the pedestals that will ground you enough to sustain the adjustment you need.

4. ‎You’re allowed to mourn the old chapter and be scared of the new one..Sometimes change means giving up on things, people, places, seasons or situations that do not align with the new season you are walking into. Acknowledge the attachments and bonds, value each one of them and carry the virtues with you as you leave.

5. ‎Breath, Rest, Sleep, Hydrate. You need a break. Do not carry every load and every little or heavy weight days unending. You are Human, and yes times and seasons come and pass, but we cannot get through them without life inside of us, breath inside our lungs, a beating heart and working brain.

‎Its not easy, its not linear, its not assured,  its not always productive, but the only way to know is to start.

‎  Sending you Love and Light.

✨⚽ Mental Health x Football Performance ⚽✨

This week I had the privilege of facilitating a Mental Health Awareness session with Eldoret FC, where we explored Self-Awareness through Johari’s Window — a tool that helps teams unlock trust, strengthen communication, and work together more effectively.

🧠 Mental well-being is just as important off the pitch as it is on it. During our Soka Timamu session, the players and technical team engaged in honest, open conversations that created a safe environment for growth. The energy was uplifting, the reflections were eye-opening, and the sense of unity was truly inspiring.

We’re proud to share that this spirit translated to the pitch as well — Eldoret FC clinched 2nd place 🥈 in the Tujiamini Cheza Dimba Talent Cup by SportPesa 🎉

💚 Special gratitude to our management, partners, and our “Mashujaa” players for their dedication to both mental wellness and performance. Together, we continue proving that strong minds build strong teams. 🙌

After taking a brief hiatus from the mental health field, I made a purposeful return by leading a Mental Health Check and routine wellness sessions with the .The engagement was both enriching and insightful, emphasizing the critical role of mental wellbeing in football. While physical fitness is vital, players thrive when their social, emotional, and spiritual wellness are equally nurtured.

Key focus areas identified for building a successful and resilient team included:

1. Self-awareness – Encouraging both players and management to understand their emotions, strengths, and limits fosters better decision-making and personal growth.

2. Open Communication – Maintaining constant, honest dialogue helps prevent misunderstandings and builds trust across the team.

3. Teamwork – In football, as in life, no one should walk alone. Unity, support, and shared purpose are the bedrock of performance.

4. Avoiding Assumptions – Assumptions can erode trust. Instead, we promote asking questions, giving feedback, and recognizing individual effort.

5. Holistic Wellbeing – Success stems from a foundation of mental, emotional, and spiritual balance. By aligning individual goals with collective purpose, we fuel both personal fulfillment and team excellence.

We coined the phrase Soka Timamu, a Swahili expression meaning "Sane Soccer" to embody the spirit of our mission: football that is driven by clarity of mind, emotional intelligence, and strong interpersonal connections.

Been a minute.

They say when life gives you Lemons, you make lemonade. Truth is, not everyone enjoys it. This past year taught me that sometimes the smell of the lemons is what will keep you going and on some days it's the sour nature of the lemons that will heal the wounds and keep them from being infected.

These lemons can be people, events or situations that we face in life. But the beauty that we have is how we choose to use the lemons we get.

I've learnt that sometimes Peace of mind comes through acceptance of the fact that you have done your best, you have grown mentally, emotionally and socially, you have gone through your struggles both successfully and unsuccessfully for some and all this translates to the persona you've built.

Hard days stop pressing you so hard when you treat them as dawns that give way to beautiful sunrises, long days remind you sunsets have a ray of hope, and dark nights remind you that the moon and stars will always light your path.

We have goals, dreams, needs, hopes, struggles, regrets, grief and pain, that only we can feel and express more like a needle prick in our most sensitive nerve ending.

But you got this. No one will do it for you coz it's your race to win. Sometimes we are hard pressed on the edge of a cliff to see if we can jump and grow wings to fly, fall down and break a bone, fall off and die out or survive the fall and come out of it victorious.

From me to you, this year, take the deep dive, be there for you, love you more, allow yourself to win and to lose, enjoy the times and seasons and forget about tomorrow for a moment.

This year, JUST LIVE LIFE 🧬, it's all we have to do. Don't overthink, don't overdo, don't overload your brains. Be you, you got this. 💕 🫂
