GENERAL NUTRITION TIPS FOR CANCER PATIENTS
~Eat varieties of vegetables & fruits atleast 5 servings/ day or baseball size / day
~Eat dark green leafy & cruciferous vegetables i.e broccoli,spinach,& kales daily
~Limit your intake of red meat,sugars & high fat foods
~Eat whole grains& legumes such as whole wheat bread,brown rice & beans.
Avoid alcohol
~Limit amount of salt cured smoked & pickled foods
~Include Monosaturated and polysaturated fats when planning meals i.e olive oil & vegetable oil
~Drink fluids to stay dehydrated.
