Today, we fast.
Not just from food, but from distractions, noise, and the weight of everyday burdens.
We create space within and around us to be still, to heal, and to listen.

Fasting is our way of surrendering control and acknowledging that we don’t walk this journey alone.
It reminds us of what truly sustains us: love, purpose, hope, and grace.

At the center, as we fast today, we carry many in our hearts, those still struggling, those healing, and those who have supported this mission with prayer, presence, and love.

May the silence remind us of what matters.
May today’s hunger deepen our compassion.
And may this sacred pause shift something within.

Faith is a key part of the journey at GLC.

Our program is built on the belief that change is possible when one is willing to trust a higher power and take the first step.

Faith gives our residents hope, direction, and the strength to rebuild, one day at a time.

Today we said goodbye to Mbeke as he finished his three months program here at GLC. When he came in, he was willing to take a step towards change- to face the hard parts, to grow and to become better. He's now leaving a different person.

We thank God for this journey. As GLC fraternity, we are proud of him and wishes him well .

At GLC, we believe that true change begins from the inside. In this moment, our counselor is having a deep and encouraging class with our residents. These sessions help them open up, heal from past pain, and learn how to live a better life. It’s not always easy, but with love, guidance, and God’s help, each day brings new hope. We are thankful for counselors who walk with them step by step on this journey of healing and transformation.

Addiction knows no age, gender, or background and neither does recovery.
At 62, Edwin made the courageous decision to break free from alcohol addiction. His story is a reminder that it’s never too late to begin again. He urges anyone struggling, no matter their age, to seek help. He also appeals to well-wishers to join in supporting this life-changing journey.
