Without a doubt, if not for Raila Odinga, figures like Gladys Wanga and Millie Odhiambo Gogo would never have sniffed positions of power. Yet now that they hold authority, what exactly have they done with it? Absolutely nothing of substance.
Wanga, instead of delivering development, appears more preoccupied with political theatricsa and squandering county resources to wage petty battles against Raymond Omollo. This has only served to fuel unnecessary divisions with cheap, questionable narratives, all while billions flow into Homa Bay with little to show on the ground. Meanwhile, tangible central government projects linked to Omollo are visible and undeniable.
As for Gogo, in Rangwe, rather than confronting her shortcomings, she reportedly resorts to vulgar outbursts whenever handed a microphone, an embarrassing distraction from glaring failures and lack of accountability.
Leadership is not about noise, excuses, or endless blame games, it’s about results. And right now, the results are painfully absent.
