Kuna strategies Wakenya! You have to prepare your body. I am speaking as a health worker. For instance, if you hug a tree for 72 hours without taking water, you may harm your kidneys. You need water to continue with the metabolism of your body.
Again, ukihug mti na ukuwe ulikula that day unaanza, you'll have to release it na ukimbie kichakani ama nyumbani ama to the nearest "Wa Mbuguas!"
Bottom line, preparations muhimu. Some people like , had to fast prior to beginning the actual 72hours ordeal. Unapata such a person has gone without food for 5 days in total.

The Ministry of Health, .Davji , I have a question. When I go to the hospital or any health facility, should I demand to know the credentials of the staff attending to me?

For instance, I went to an M Nursing Home within Kiambu County. I was asked several questions as we do when taking medical history. But for every question that I was asked, a price was attached to it or a lab test recommended. In about 35 minutes, I had been "diagnosed" with about three conditions/sicknesses. Ulcers, infection and lack of vitamins.

To be honest, I was going through serious pains but having a background in health matters, I asked for the position of that staff and his board number or an ID or a License. He became hostile towards me and told me to leave if I couldn't listen to him as the "doctor" he was.
I quietly left and took a bodaboda to the nearest Level 4 hospital. I was treated for burnouts and was given medicine and a 14 days bed rest. Yes, the treatment worked.
My worry is, what if I was just any other person and ended up taking drugs that were not meant for my ailment? How many people have been misdiagnosed in such facilities? I would want to understand what as a patient, I should do when I show up at any facility to verify my service provider! I would not have spoken about this but NTV KenyaKenya's expose on a certain hospital has triggered me. What is our role as the patients?
