Camp Vuka: A Journey to Godly Manhood
Embark on a transformative experience at Camp Vuka, where young boys are guided on a seven-day journey to safely transition into Godly manhood. Hosted by Keflo Hospital Kitengela, this unique camp offers a holistic approach to mentorship, incorporating medical male circumcision by skilled personnel and immersive sessions to shape character, values, and identity.
What to Expect:
🏥 Medical Male Circumcision: Under the care of skilled medical personnel, boys undergo safe circumcision. Health and well-being are our top priorities.
🌟 Empowering Mentorship Sessions: We will engage in daily 2-to-3-hour sessions as the young men recover. In these sessions, we will cover crucial topics such as identity in a changing world, respecting authority, understanding the transition from boyhood to manhood, the essence of fatherhood, and the role of God in a young man’s life.
📘 Interactive Learning: We will create a meaningful dialogue by encouraging boys to ask questions, either in group settings or individually. Facilitators will address myths surrounding circumcision and tackle questions related to sexuality and related concerns for this age-group.
👨‍👦 Parental Involvement: Fathers and male relatives are encouraged to visit and engage in individual discussions about their sons. Facilitators will offer personalized mentorship tailored to each boy's needs.
🍲 In-House Chef: The young men will indulge in delicious well-balanced meals prepared by our in-house chef. The camp maintains state-of-the-art cleanliness, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
🚫 Tech-Free Zone: The young men will unplug from the digital world with a no-phone and no-TV policy, fostering genuine connections and reflection. Parents and guardians can however call any time to check up on their children.
