📢 Time for a New Leadership Model in Mautuma! ✊

Over the years, we have seen a pattern in leadership:
🔹 Leaders who forget the promises they made once elected.
🔹 Development projects started but never completed.
🔹 Decisions made without listening to the very people affected.
🔹 A focus on handouts instead of lasting solutions.

👉 Our observation is clear: past and current leadership has often placed politics above people.

But Mautuma deserves better. 💙🤍

We need a leadership model that:
✅ Puts the local Mwananchi first — because leadership is about service, not privilege.
✅ Uplifts families through education, health, and water access.
✅ Creates opportunities for youth and women, so our people don’t just survive, they thrive.
✅ Ensures transparency and accountability in every shilling spent.

This is the model I believe in. This is the movement we must build together. 🌍

✊ It’s time for a leadership of the people, by the people, and for the people — where Mautuma Kwanza is not just a slogan, but a reality!

In Kenya, the recall of a Member of County Assembly (MCA) is governed by the Constitution of Kenya (2010) and the Elections Act, 2011, specifically Section 27 to 29 of the Elections Act. Below is a simplified explanation of the process of recalling an MCA and the grounds for recall:

🏛️ Grounds for Recall of an MCA

An MCA may be recalled only after 2 years from the date of election, and not within 12 months of the next general election. The legitimate grounds are:

1. Violation of Chapter Six of the Constitution

Involves leadership and integrity issues, such as abuse of office, corruption, or unethical behavior.

2. Gross Misconduct

Includes behavior deemed disgraceful, criminal acts, or conduct that undermines the dignity of the office.

3. If the MCA is found to have been convicted of an offence

The offence must be serious enough to warrant removal from public office.

4. Failure to perform functions of the office

This includes prolonged absenteeism, negligence, or failure to represent and serve the people effectively.

📝 Process of Recalling an MCA

1. Initiation of Recall by a Voter

A voter from the MCA’s ward must file a recall petition with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

2. Collection of Signatures

The petition must be signed by at least 30% of registered voters in the affected ward.

15% of the signatures must come from each of at least half of the polling stations in the ward.

3. Verification by IEBC

IEBC verifies:

The authenticity of the signatures.

That the grounds meet legal thresholds.

That due process has been followed.

4. Notice of Recall Election

If verified, IEBC gives notice to the public and sets a date for a recall election.

5. Recall Election

The people of the ward vote in a recall election.

If the majority votes in favor of the recall, the MCA is removed, and a by-election is held.

⚠️ Important Notes

A person who loses in the recall election cannot contestin the by-election that follows.

🌍 JINA LAKO LIMEFIKA – AMOS OKWARO NDIO MPANGO MZIMA WA MAUTUMA 2027! 💪🏽

Mwenye Msimamo. Tayari kwa Kazi.

Good Morning and Happy Mother’s Day!

Today we rise with gratitude—for the strength, sacrifice, and boundless love of mothers everywhere. May this morning fill your heart with warmth, and may every mother feel deeply honored and celebrated.

As the sun rises over Mautuma, so does a new dawn of leadership and service. I feel called more than ever, not by ambition, but by purpose. My journey to lead Mautuma is not a question of if, but when—because our people deserve leadership that listens, uplifts, and acts.

Let us honor the nurturing spirit of motherhood by building a future where every voice matters and every dream can grow.

Leadership is not a title; it’s a responsibility I am ready to carry.
Mautuma, our time is now.

Your mental health matters.
Let’s normalize talking about it, seeking support, and taking care of our minds just as much as our bodies. Whether you're going through a tough time or just need a breather, know that it's okay to ask for help and to take a step back when you need to.

We’re all on different journeys, but kindness, compassion, and open conversations can make a big difference. Let’s continue creating a space where mental wellness is a priority—for ourselves and for each other.

Drink where the horses drink, they never choose bad water.
Sleep where the cat sleeps, it seeks calm and comfort.
Eat the fruit that a worm has touched but not penetrated, it always finds the ripest fruit.
Plant your tree where the mole digs, the soil there is fertile.
Build your house where the snake basks in the sun, that ground is stable and will not collapse.
Dig for water where birds seek shade from the heat, where they rest, water is near.
Rise and sleep with the birds, that is the path to success.
Eat more vegetables, and you will have strong legs and a resilient heart, like the animals of the wild.
Swim whenever you can, and you will feel as natural in water as fish do.
Gaze at the sky often, and your thoughts will become bright and clear.

Remain calm and silent, and peace will fill your heart, bringing tranquility to your soul.
