If there is no struggle, there is no progress. You have to endure the process, to enjoy the success.

Alcoholism is just as bad as co***ne, he**in and w**d addiction.
So don't think you're better than the other guy because your drug of choice is legal or more socially acceptable. The drug maybe different, but it all ruins your life the same, if not worse.

Alcoholic Death: A Brutal Reality

Alcoholism is a devastating condition that can lead to many physical and mental health problems for the individual. It is not only the alcoholic who suffers from such substance abuse, but also friends, families and colleagues of the alcoholic. Sadly, the prognosis for an alcoholic is poor unless the individual is willing to enter recovery and remain abstinent thereafter. Those who do make the transition to sobriety can enjoy a long, full and rewarding life. However, once the individual is physically dependent on alcohol, the only long-term treatment is complete abstinence from alcohol.

Addiction is a disease that Makes you too selfish to see the havoc you created or care about the people whose lives you have shattered.

I hear alot of people say once a ju**ie always a ju**ie and see their comments on how addiction is a choice and not a disease. I can say I believe it may all start with a choice, but its not long before your choice is no longer yours and the drug completely owns you. As of January 8, I have been clean 10 years and just wanted to encourage anyone thinking that this might be the right time to make a change in their life.
I hurt everyone who ever tried to help me or care for me, family and friends alike nobody was exempted from my addiction. I want to take a second to say you all know who has been there no matter what and just want to say I'm sorry and I love you and thank you for believing in me.
I gave up my health, my body, morals, freedom and my family for drugs when I made poor choices about life and now I cant make those wrongs right. I dont miss the drugs, the friends, or the lifestyle and am here to tell you It is possible and feels great to relearn who you are as a person and before you judge me remember the shoe could easily be on the other(your)foot. You went to the same schools, hung out with the same people, went to the same parties, drank the same beer, smoked the same blunt, and snorted the same line of white stuff, it could just as easily have been you or your loved one laying in that hospital bed fighting for their life, it could be you who was not only accused but convicted for a crime they did not commit because of poor choices they made for and while on drugs. I just want to tell everyone you can do it!! Its a choice you will never regret.

THE REAL CAUSE OF ADDICTION & MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS.

The real cause of an individual’s addiction to drugs and alcohol and many, if not most, mental health problems is that he thinks and believes that he is not good enough or less than and as a result, there is a lack of self-love due to his negative thinking about himself. When a person believes that he is not good enough he will continually engage in self-destructive behaviors that will support and reinforce his negative thoughts and beliefs about his perceived value and worth as a human being. As a result of his negative thinking about himself he will also source or attract certain dangerous substances into his life, that is, drugs and alcohol, that will harm if not eventually kill him. The cause of a person’s addiction to drugs and alcohol is in his mind, in his mental health, in his thinking, especially in his thoughts and beliefs about himself, and not in his body! The drugs and alcohol are not the real problem either, they never have been. The drugs and alcohol are merely the instruments that a person uses to self execute.

I give advice about addiction not because I studied about it in school, but because I've experienced it myself. So when I tell you addiction will take away everything from you and leave you with nothing but the pain you were trying to escape... BELIEVE THAT
