Awoche Foundation in partnership with Tiko Kenya today held a powerful stakeholders’ meeting on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).

The session brought together community leaders, youth representatives, local administration, service providers and grassroots organisations to openly discuss the realities of SGBV in our communities. Participants shared practical solutions around:

Prevention: community awareness, school mentorship, engaging men and boys, and challenging harmful norms.
Reporting & Response: strengthening referral pathways, survivor-centred support, faster access to justice and health services

Collaboration: creating stronger networks between CSOs, government, health, legal and community structures for collective action

This meeting was not just a dialogue, but a call to action. Together, we committed to building safer spaces where survivors are believed, supported and protected, and where SGBV is not tolerated.

📢 Awoche Foundation and Tiko Kenya remain dedicated to amplifying voices, empowering communities and driving lasting change.
