A truly impactful day as Khairat Hospital, in partnership with Abana International, the County Government of Kilifi, and esteemed collaborators including YORA, Mombasa Cement, and Aga Khan Hospital, successfully hosted a Free Medical Camp in Mariakani.

The outreach served over 400 residents, providing essential services such as general checkups, cancer screening, patient registration, and food support to families in need. This initiative reflects our shared commitment to improving access to quality healthcare within our communities.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our generous drug donors, including Awake Institution and Arab Welfare Association Kenya, whose support made this initiative even more impactful.

Today, 9 Feb 2026, we had the opportunity to meet with Madam Liz Kabuage, a remarkable advocate and author who introduced her first book on raising children with Down syndrome. As a parent of a child with Down syndrome, this milestone contributes to building a more compassionate and supportive world for all. We also had the pleasure of engaging with Elizabeth as a cancer activist, who continues to raise community awareness on cancer and the importance of early detection. As a hospital, we look forward to working closely with her to better serve our community through improved cancer care and effective treatment.
