Ramadan Mubarak! May this month bring strength, stability, protection, and seizure control. We also send a gentle reminder to our brothers and sisters living with epilepsy: your health remains a priority.

If you are fasting, please:

Take your medication exactly as prescribed (do not skip or delay doses).
Speak to your doctor if you need guidance on adjusting medication timing during Suhoor and Iftar.
Stay well hydrated between Iftar and Suhoor.
Get adequate rest and avoid triggers such as sleep deprivation.
Listen to your body! Your safety comes first.

A few days ago, on International Epilepsy Day, we made a pledge. Today, we begin honoring it.
As part of our , we ,in collaboration with Foundation for people with Epilepsy and the County Government of Kilifi committed to establishing and strengthening community-led epilepsy support groups in Kilifi County — co-designed with people with epilepsy and caregivers, and grounded in lived experience.
We have listened to stories of isolation, misunderstood symptoms, missed opportunities, and families quietly carrying the weight without support. And we kept asking: What would change if no one had to walk this journey alone?
That question led to the idea of creating Epilepsy Support Groups in Kilifi.
This vision is finally moving from words to actions— creating safe, stigma-free spaces where individuals and families can connect, share openly, learn from one another, and build collective strength.
This is only the beginning — and we are building it with the community, not just for the community.

At NeuroHaven Epilepsy Centre, we believe love means showing up for our community — and this February, we’re sharing the love in a special way.

We are excited to announce our FREE Epilepsy Drive happening 9–13 March 2026 at Titanic Plaza, Kilifi.

This initiative is designed for people with epilepsy, as well as their families and caregivers. Together, we can build awareness, support, and stronger networks of care.

💜 What to expect:
✔ Free mental health screening (validated tools)
✔ Opportunity to ask a neurologist questions about epilepsy
✔ Introduction to new epilepsy support groups in Kilifi County
✔ Information on how patients & caregivers can join

Today is and we join the world in raising awareness on this important day. As we work toward our 2026 epilepsy pledge, we reaffirm that medication equals stability.

Join us this morning for an awareness walk as we contribute to the 50 Million Steps for Epilepsy initiative, standing in solidarity with the 50 million people living with epilepsy worldwide. Together, we can raise awareness, fight stigma, and promote access to treatment and care.

Our center now offers Electroencephalography (EEG) services, a safe, non-invasive test that records brainwave activity and helps us identify seizure patterns with greater accuracy.

EEG plays a vital role in diagnosing epilepsy, guiding treatment decisions, and monitoring progress over time. With this advanced service now available in-house, our clients no longer need to travel long distances or face delays in accessing essential neurological assessments.

This addition strengthens our commitment to providing comprehensive and community-centered epilepsy care. It means faster results, clearer treatment pathways, and personalized support for every child and adult we serve.
