On International Youth Day, we honour the power of young workers who are organising for democracy, justice, and a better future for all. This includes amplifying the voices of transgender and gender non-conforming (TGNC) refugees young people who face multiple layers of discrimination in the workplace, in communities, and in society. Together, we demand fair opportunities, safe environments, and respect for the human rights of all young workers, regardless of identity or immigration status. A just future is only possible when no one is left behind.

We were honoured to host Mr. Mukasa Samora, Senior Programs Officer from the International Trans Fund
(ITF), at our offices. During the visit, Mr. Samora received the INUKA LGBTIQ+ Awards 2024 accolade and certificate on behalf of , in recognition of their incredible support.

We were also excited to officially launch our INUKA Netball Team, a vibrant initiative aimed at strengthening community, wellness, and visibility through sports.

We deeply appreciate the ongoing partnership with International Trans Fund and their unwavering support for the transgender refugee and asylum seeker movement in Kenya. Together, we are building resilience, celebrating identity, and creating safe, inclusive spaces for our communities.
