The Sarakasi Trust – Smiles for Change team transformed Paediatric Ward 9A into a space of colour, stories, music & hope.

Through storytelling, drama, dance, clowning, art and craft, they gifted our young patients and their parents something priceless; a break from worry, fear & uncertainty.

Their belief that happiness, positivity & creativity enhance healing was beautifully evident.

We are grateful for partners who remind us that healing goes beyond medicine; sometimes it begins with a smile!

This evening, the KPCC Football Team took to the pitch for a friendly match against KNH Medical Services Team; and emerged victorious with a well-earned 2–1 win.

Our boys found the net in each half, demonstrating teamwork, discipline & determination, while our opponents grabbed a late consolation goal.

Beyond the scoreline, matches like these reflect KPCC’s commitment to teamwork, staff wellness, fitness & positive engagement through co-curricular activities. A great game, great spirit and great sportsmanship all around.

Well played, team!

Today, KPCC Senior Director Dr. John Ngigi made a meaningful contribution to our Mental Health Unit by donating a range items designed to support patients’ cognitive, physical & social well-being.

The donation included board games such as Jenga, Ludo, Rubik’s Cubes, jigsaw puzzles etc to help improve memory, concentration & confidence. Recreational and wellness items included volleyballs, yoga mats, skipping ropes, badminton sets, darts, and tug-of-war ropes; all aimed at relaxation, socialization & holistic healing.

These activities will be facilitated by our Occupational Therapy team, who support patients in regaining skills and independence while addressing challenges such as depression, anxiety and schizophrenia.

Dr. Ngigi, who actively participated in the activities himself, shared that the experience inspired him and called on others to join hands in doing good for the benefit of our patients.

Also present was Ms. Naomi Ngunjiri, KPCC Chief Nurse, who expressed her appreciation for the noble gesture and reminded us of the power of touching lives where it truly matters.

Thank you, Dr. Ngigi! Our Mental Health Unit is now even better equipped to provide holistic, compassionate care to our patients.

Today at KPCC, we celebrated Henry Biko with a heartfelt surprise birthday, organised by the amazing 10A nurses under the leadership of Ward Manager Ms. Jane Marangu.

The joy on Henry’s face said it all; moments like these remind us that KPCC is more than a workplace, it’s a family!

Happy Birthday, Biko, & wishing you a quick recovery! πŸŽˆπŸŽ‚ πŸŽ‰

The festive spirit came alive as Santa toured KPCC service areas, spreading cheer and handing out cookies to staff and patients alike. From the inpatient wards to outpatient areas; including the Corporate Outpatient Centre (COC), Daycare Centre, Doctors' Plaza Pharmacy & Mental Health Unit, Santa took time to share smiles, laughter and warm moments with everyone along the way.

The joy on the faces of both staff and patients was truly priceless, reminding us of the power of kindness and togetherness during the festive season.

From all of us at KPCC, we wish you a Merry Christmas filled with warmth, joy and good health! πŸŽ…πŸ½πŸŽ
