We wish to inform you that our beloved missionary and godfather, Bernard Otieno, is leaving Fazenda da Esperança, St John the Baptist, Diocese of Embu.

📍 Bernard has been appointed Director of Fazenda da Esperança, Rustenburg, South Africa 🇿🇦✨

We take this opportunity to sincerely thank him for the dedicated service, love, and support he has generously given to our community. ❤️ His presence among us has been a true blessing, and his commitment to the mission of Fazenda da Esperança has touched many lives. 🙏

As he begins this new chapter of service, we entrust him to God’s loving care. ✝️
May the Lord go before him, guide his steps, and grant him strength, wisdom, and joy in his new mission. 🌟

Though we shall miss him dearly, we rejoice in what God has done through him and in what He will continue to do through him. 🌍💫

Last Saturday, 18th November 2025, we had a fruitful meeting with the leadership of the Mwea Parish Helping Group — Luke, James, and Nazarius. 🤝💬

The group is growing beautifully, and together we were able to chart a clear way forward as we work on establishing a structured route plan. 🗺️🌱

We were also blessed with an online session featuring a representative in charge of the Living Hope Groups in Angola, who shared inspiring insights on how their groups operate. 🌍💡

This past weekend has been overflowing with blessings! 🙏✨
💒 One of our very own, Joshua, tied the knot! 🕊️ He’s among the first recuperants of Fazenda da Esperança – St. John the Baptist.
🎓 Four of our brothers graduated to become Ambassadors of Hope — a true sign that transformation is possible when we walk with faith and love. 🌟
🎉 We also celebrated 8 years since our inception here in the Diocese of Embu, Kenya — eight years of healing, hope, and rebirth! 🌈
🌍 Adding to the joy, we are blessed by the continued presence of the Responsibles for all the Farms in Africa, together with the Regional Superior, João Paulo.
🤝 The Focolare Community was also represented by Eric Mwangi, Regional Coordinator for Africa and Madagascar — a beautiful sign of unity in mission and spirit. ❤️
We thank God for the countless blessings bestowed upon us and for the continued efforts of all who make this journey of hope possible. 🙌

We are overflowing with gratitude for the incredible love and support shown during our Holy Mass, 🎉 Graduation, 🎓 and the Inaugural Opening & Blessing of the New Wing 🏡 on 19th July 2025. 💒💛
Your prayers, presence, and encouragement remind us daily that we are never alone on this journey of hope and renewal. 🙏 As our Bishop beautifully shared, “The journey through Fazenda is like the Israelites crossing the Red Sea—full of faith, courage, and God’s guiding hand.” 🌊✝️

This past weekend has been such a blessing! 🙏🏽 We had the privilege of coming together in a powerful retreat with our dear friends from ‘The Living Hope Group’ – Murang’a and ‘Mwea Help Group’. 💞

The gathering, themed "Awareness of Lifestyle", opened our eyes 👁️ and hearts 💖 to so much—offering us deeper understanding and renewed purpose in the many situations we face in life. 🌱🕊️

To crown it all, we had an energetic and joyful ⚽ football match with members of the local community at Kamurugu Primary School grounds. What a way to bond and celebrate unity! 🙌🏾

🏆 Final score: Fazenda 2️⃣ – Community 1️⃣
But in truth... everyone is a winner! 🥇💪🏾

Today the farm was truly blessed to welcome Rt. Rev. Richard Kazadi Kamba, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Kolwezi (Democratic Republic of Congo) ⛪.
He was accompanied by our dear friends from the Focolare Community in Nairobi 🤝.

The Eucharistic celebration reminded us that unity and hope are the anchors of our journey 🕊️❤️.
Grateful for this moment of communion and inspiration!

This Easter, we rejoice in the light of the Resurrection — even as we mourn the passing of our beloved Holy Father, Pope Francis. 🤍
His life was a testament to mercy, hope, and the joy of the Gospel.
We carry his legacy forward, with hearts lifted in alleluia."
