Today, on World Schizophrenia Day,
we stand with individuals and families affected by schizophrenia worldwide. 💚

Schizophrenia is a mental health condition that deserves understanding, support, and proper care not stigma or judgment.

Let’s choose empathy, raise awareness, and support those living with schizophrenia every day.

Together, we can promote inclusion, dignity, and hope for all. 🌍✨

🌿 3 Years of Gusii Mental Health Awareness (GMA) 🌿

Today, we celebrate 3 years of purpose, impact, and healing.

What started as a vision has grown into a movement touching lives, opening conversations, and reminding people that mental health matters.

Over the past three years, GMA has:
✨ Created safe spaces for honest conversations
✨ Reached communities in Kenya and beyond
✨ Supported individuals and families through awareness and advocacy
✨ Trained, empowered, and stood with those who felt unseen

This journey has not been easy it has been built through passion, resilience, and a deep commitment to care. Behind every step is a story, a struggle, and a breakthrough.

To every person who has walked this journey with us thank you. Your support, trust, and courage to speak up have made GMA what it is today.

As we mark this milestone, we don’t just celebrate the years —
we celebrate the lives changed, the hope restored, and the conversations that continue to grow.

🌱 The journey continues…
Because healing is ongoing. Because awareness saves lives. Because together, we can do more.

💚 “Every step towards mental awareness is a step towards healing the community.”

Sometimes the mess is the message.
Crumbs on the table. Stories in between sips.
Not everything needs to be neat to be meaningful.

Like Kintsugi—the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold—
our cracks don’t ruin us, they reveal where the healing happened.

Life doesn’t always show up polished.
Some days are spilled, uneven, imperfect.
And still… beautiful.

Honor the mess.
It means you showed up, you felt, you lived.
And that, too, is healing. 💛

✨ Happy New Year 2026 ✨

As we step into a new year, we are reminded of one powerful truth:
your mind is your greatest asset.

May 2026 bring you:
🧠 Peace that guards your mind
💛 Joy that anchors your days
🌱 Strength to set healthy boundaries
✨ Courage to heal, grow, and begin again

At Gusii Mental Health Awareness (GMA), we remain committed to walking with you—breaking stigma, promoting mental wellness, and reminding you that it’s okay to rest, reset, and ask for help.

Let this be the year you choose self-compassion over self-pressure.

From our hearts to yours,
Happy New Year 💚

Dear Members,as we come to the close of this year, we pause with deep gratitude for each one of you. Your dedication, compassion, and willingness to stand for mental health in our communities have made a meaningful difference in many lives. Every conversation held, every shoulder offered, and every moment volunteered has planted seeds of healing and hope.
This year has not been without challenges, yet together we have shown resilience, unity, and purpose. Through collective effort, we have continued to raise awareness, offer psychosocial support, and remind our communities that mental health matters and that no one has to walk their journey alone.
As we usher in 2026, we do so with renewed hope and great promise. A new year brings fresh opportunities to grow stronger, reach further, and impact deeper. Let us move forward encouraged, inspired by what we have achieved, and motivated by the vision of healthier, more compassionate communities.
May the coming year bring you peace, strength, good health, and fulfillment in all that you do. Thank you for being part of this noble mission and for walking this journey together as one team.
With appreciation and hope,
GMA Team

This Christmas, let’s talk about strength, not just decorations.
Let’s talk about peace, not just outfits.
Let’s talk about mental wellness, not just gifts.

For many people, this season comes with silent stress
💭 Pressure to spend
📱 Comparison fueled by social media
💳 Financial strain
😔 Loneliness behind the smiles

As GMA we remind you:
✨ Your worth is not measured by what you can buy
✨ Your healing does not require a perfect celebration
✨ Rest is also a gift

Choose a positive attitude this season:
• Be kind to your mind
• Celebrate what you have
• Give yourself grace
• Log off when comparison steals your joy

🎁 The most powerful gift this Christmas is mental strength.

Hello GMA Family,

“Mental health matters. Let’s prioritize our own mental well-being.”

These simple yet powerful words remind us that our emotional and psychological health are just as important as our physical health. In our busy lives, it’s easy to overlook self-care, to push through stress, or to silence our emotions — but true wellness begins when we take time to understand, nurture, and care for our minds.

Let us commit today to breaking the stigma, to speaking openly about mental health, and to supporting one another in building healthier, more resilient communities. Because when our minds are well, everything else falls in place.
💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

💚 World Mental Health Day | 10.10

Theme 2025: Access to Services —
Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies

In a world that feels like it’s constantly in crisis — from global conflicts to personal storms — mental health support has never been more important.

Just like on an airplane, when the pressure drops, we’re reminded to put on our own mask first before helping others. That mask, today, symbolizes self-care, awareness, and access to help when you need it most.

At Gusii Mental Health Awareness (GMA), we believe access begins with awareness knowing when to pause, when to seek support, and when to breathe.

Because truth is

You are replaceable everywhere, but your mind isn’t.

As we mark this year’s World Mental Health Day, let’s remember: caring for your mind is not a luxury it’s a necessity, especially in times of crisis.
When we make mental health services accessible to all, we make healing possible for everyone.
