Topic: Perception Insight

What do you see right infront of you? Is that what it is or is that what you have been told it is?
To the person who perceive flowers as a sign of love, when given flowers as a gift they feel loved. To another the same flowers triggers hurt and pain because their Ex who they loved "Hadi wanajimalizia" cheated on them dangerously and so flowers remind them of that pain and betrayal. So my question is are the feelings of love or hurt coming from the flowers or the individual perception and meaning of what flowers mean to them? You will agree with me that perception shapes reality. Perceptions are socially constructed, they are passed down to us socially. Which then means that society shapes our reality and effects from experiences until we intentionally decide to shape our reality by changing the meanings, definitions, beliefs, and perceptions to situations and experiences in life. Perception is the reality, how you perceive it determines the effect you get from it. For instance if you perceive ending of a relationship as a hurt break, it will definitely break and hurt you, if you perceive it as a learning and growth experience you grow and learn. All life experiences are neutral, meaningless and effectless, your perception of them shapes how they will affect you. When you call a 2 month old toddler useless, good for nothing or foolish, the toddler will either smile or cry based on the energy you deliver the words. If you say those words with a smile, the child will smile back at you. Why because the child doesn't know the meaning of the words. The meaning we attach to experiences creates the effects we get from them. Perception and meaning are subject to change because one experience can affect two people totally differently, same experience different effects based on individual perception. Choose to see it in your favor, don't perceive it in favor.

Bitter truth.
What are ten truths everyone should accept in life?

1.You are not going to exist forever. You’re just a tiny speck in this vast universe and your time in this world is limited.
2. Anything harsh said to a loved one in anger leaves a permanent scar, no matter how much you try to bandage it.
3. Health is the most important wealth you can acquire. No matter how much gold you own, it can not quell the torture of an illness.
4. Every old person was once as old as you are today. Time stops for none.
5. Things which are most important for you today might be worthless tomorrow. Avoid spending money on urges.
6.Something as simple as saying sorry first can prevent countless disputes. It is not a sign of weakness.
7. Who your friends are determine who you become.
To become good at conversation, learn to be a good listener first.
8. Luck favours those who don’t give up
9. Be grateful if you have a roof for shelter, clean water for drinking , food on your table and a healthy functioning body. Try to imagine the absence of even one of these in your life.

Bitter truth.
What is the harsh truth of life?

1. A poor man’s words are a cry for help; whereas a rich man’s words become philosophy.
2. The sooner you lose your friends, the sooner you get success in your life.
3.The only feeling that saves you from falling into a pit of miseries is gratitude.
4. Happiness lasts for a while; whereas, contentment can be attained at any given moment.
5. If you can’t decide on something or choose one out of many options in your life, don’t worry or start worrying because gradually time snatches away your freedom to choose or decide and makes you dance to its tune.
5. Expending energy to avoid a breakdown is fruitless.
6. You're going to die and you have no idea when.
7. Everyone you love is going to die, and you don't know when.
8. Your obsession with finding happiness is what prevents its attainment.
9. Your achievements and successes won't matter on your deathbed.
10. Nobody cares how difficult your life is, and you are the author of your life's story.

Secrets of life
What is the deep secret of life?
Acceptance: Accepting things as they are, rather than trying to control or change them, can lead to greater peace of mind and emotional well-being. Example: accepting a difficult situation and finding ways to cope with it rather than constantly fighting against it.
Gratitude: Cultivating gratitude for the good things in life can lead to greater happiness and well-being. Example: taking a moment each day to reflect on things you're grateful for, like your health, your relationships, or your job.
Forgiveness: Letting go of anger and resentment towards others can help you find greater inner peace and improve your relationships. Example: forgiving someone who has wronged you in the past, and working to rebuild trust and understanding.
Mindfulness: Practicing mindfulness - being present and aware in the moment - can help you better appreciate life's small moments and reduce stress and anxiety. Example: taking a few deep breaths and focusing on the sensations in your body to help calm your mind.
Self-care: Taking care of your physical, emotional, and mental health is crucial to leading a fulfilling life. Example: making time for exercise, meditation, therapy, or other self-care practices that help you feel your best.
Persistence: Sticking with something even when it's difficult or challenging can help you achieve your goals and build resilience. Example: continuing to work towards a long-term goal, like learning a new skill or starting a business, even when setbacks arise.
Compassion: Showing compassion and empathy towards others can lead to stronger relationships and a greater sense of purpose. Example: volunteering in your community or making an effort to be kind to strangers.
Self-reflection: Reflecting on your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can help you better understand yourself and make positive changes. Example: journaling about your day or taking time to reflect on your emotional responses to certain situations.

Life is incomprehensible, Unpredictable and critical in it's own nature and sense.
Life changes much faster than you think.

•One day, you think the adults have everything figured out, the following day, you are the adult, and you understand no one has.

•One day, you think life is supposed to be fair, the following day, you get rid of your sense of entitlement.

•One day, you think your grades will determine your whole future, the following day, you realize opportunities are about so much more than being able to parrot the “right answers.”

•One day, you think your personality doesn’t matter if you are smart and talented enough, the following day, you realize you don’t need to be particularly smart and talented if you have a great personality.

•One day, you think looks don’t matter that much, the following day, you get rid of your wishful thinking, face the reality, and take proper care of your appearance.

•One day, you think money doesn’t matter that much, the following day, you educate yourself about the financial system, and you wonder how you could be so naive and ignorant for so long.

•One day, you seek guidance from your teachers, instructors, masters, the following day, you are the one guiding the others, and you realize how often wrong everyone is when it comes to others.

•One day, you want someone to believe and invest in you, the following day, you meet many people who try to convince you to invest in them, and you realize you cannot help everyone, you need to make choices.

•One day, you envy someone because they are wealthy, attractive, talented, loved, the following day, you have it all too, and you realize the journey still ends the same way.

•One day, you wish you could find some shortcut, the following day, you wish you could experience your success all over again, slowly.

•One day, you are laughing with them, you are taking these precious moments for granted, the following day, they are gone forever, and you wish you had been less fixated on
