Did you know that allergic fungal rhinosinusitis can quietly disrupt your life for years without you even realizing it?

This is a condition where tiny airborne fungi trigger chronic inflammation in the sinuses, causing relentless congestion and discomfort.

The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu, and the Homa Bay County Government held an inception meeting for the East Africa Comprehensive Women Cancer Project (EA-CwCP).

Leaders, faith groups, and community stakeholders came together to support this bold step toward accessible cancer care. Survivors shared powerful stories of long, costly treatment journeys a burden the EA-CwCP aims to ease. The project focuses on screening for Cervical and Breast Cancers, HPV vaccination, health worker training, Renovation and equipping of oncology unit at Homabay County Referral Hospital, and initiation of Cancer treatment through chemotherapy. The project targets to improve awareness of the community on importance of early cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment.
