September reminds us that healing is possible. đź’™
“Changing the Narrative on Su***de”. This reflects a shift toward more openness, authenticity, and less shame when talking about suicidal ideation and mental health issues.
Pushing for conversations to move from “don’t do it” messages toward “we see you / we’re with you” approaches.

Su***de Awareness Month is not just about raising awareness, but about reminding every struggling soul that hope and recovery are within reach.Addiction and mental health challenges can feel heavy, but you don’t have to carry them alone.

Together, we can break the silence, fight the stigma, and walk the road to recovery, one day at a time.

Addiction often feels like a never-ending cycle-you drink to escape, regret follows, you promise to stop… but when life gets heavy, it begins again. It’s exhausting, and it can feel like you’re stuck. But YOU'RE NOT ALONE.
At our center, we understand the struggle behind the bottle and the weight it carries. With compassion, guidance, and a supportive community, this cycle can be broken. Healing is possible - one day, one step at a time.

THE TALE OF THE TWO WOLVES.
There was once a man who lived at the edge of a quiet forest.
Inside him, two wolves lived.
One was gentle , calm, wise, and patient.
The other was wild , angry, hungry, and always wanting more.

Each day, the man fed both wolves.
But slowly, he started feeding the wild one more. The wild wolf grew stronger and louder until it started to chase the gentle one away.
One day, the man collapsed in the forest, broken and ashamed.
An old healer found him and said,
“Your pain is real. But so is your choice. Stop feeding the wolf that’s eating you.”
So the man began again.
One step at a time back towards the quiet.
The wild wolf didn’t disappear…
But it grew weaker.
And the gentle one grew stronger not with fury, but with forgiveness.

Addiction feeds the wild wolf leading to self destruction.
At Levuka our holistic approach and assisted care, you learn to identify the wild wolf and starve it. We'll also guide you in nourishing your calm wolf back to life and freedom.
WHERE THERE'S LIFE, THERE'S HOPE!

Walk In Dry Places,
Avoiding tension

As people of excess, alcoholics tend to swing between periods of great activity and times of complete lassitude. There is a tendency to waste time at one point, and then overcompensate for it by working feverishly and frantically to catch up. Both ways are out of balance.

We need to approach life in a relaxed manner, letting the natural rhythm of events take over and do some of the work for us. Too much effort defeats itself. The overanxious person strives too hard and makes things worse, like the salesman who talks too long and kills the sale.

In the AA way of life, we expect and accept responsibilities. But we are not slavishly committed to success at any price. We make a full commitment to any project we undertake, and we do our best at all times. Then we let things unfold rather than trying to force them.

It is also common to hear people say, “EASY DOES IT, BUT DO IT!” This is a reminder that t he slogan is not a prescription for laziness and indifference. It is also a reminder to avoid high-pressure tactics and excessive pushing.

I’ll let things work out today. I’ll do whatever has to be done.

In an interview Dir.Tom Thiong'o took time to discuss the Men’s Mental Health shedding light on the silent battles many men face and why safe spaces like ours matter. It’s time to change the narrative around men and mental health.🧠 THERE'S HOPE!

Men need safe spaces too, to speak, to heal, and to grow.
event was more than just a talk. It was a powerful gathering focused on addiction recovery, men’s mental health, and the role of physical wellness in the healing journey.

We brought together real stories, real struggles, and real strength, every moment was a reminder that recovery isn't just about treatment , it's about connection, community, and consistent support.

In partnership with Noah Soloo of Save them organization we aim to raise awareness and spark lasting change by creating spaces where men feel heard, seen, and supported.

Whether it’s through movement, mentorship, or shared experience, healing is possible, and no man has to do it alone.

Bishop Edward Mwai and Apostle James Kiongo of Jesus Winner Ministry Roysambu had a heart full of compassion and a gesture of kindness that spoke volumes.
Offering spiritual support and compassion to those on the path to recovery, their presence underscored the deep connection between mental health and religion that strengthens in the most vulnerable moments.
Healing is not just medical; it's spiritual too, reminding us that healing involves both mind and spirit. Faith can be a source of hope, resilience, and restoration.
There is HOPE, FAITH in recovery.
