Individuals with underlying medical conditions such as Heart disease; hypertension; diabetes; chronic respiratory disease & cancer are at risk of developing complications rather are more serious.

You can help protect friends & family who are at higher risk of severe .
1️⃣Practice good hand & respiratory hygiene.
2️⃣If you have symptoms, like fever or cough, avoid close contact with those at higher risk of severe infection.
3️⃣Be supportive & communicate by phone or messaging.
4️⃣Run errands for those at higher risk & help them stock up on their regular medications, supplies & non-perishable food*-avoid entering their home & keep a distance of at least 1m.
5️⃣Postpone social gatherings - make it virtual or pick up the phone!

*What are the risk factors for Hypertension*
.. Age. The older you get, the higher chances of developing Hypertension.. Obesity.. Race.. Hypertension is more common among Africans or those from African heritage.. Family history. High blood pressure tends to run in families... Being overweight or obese. The more you weigh the more blood you need to supply oxygen and nutrients to your tissues. As the volume of blood circulated through your blood vessels increases, so does the pressure on your artery walls.... Lack of exercise... Smoking.. Too much salt (sodium) intake.. Too little potassium in your diet... Drinking too much alcohol.. Lots of stress.. Other medical conditions such as kidney disease, diabetes and sleep apnea (snoring)
