SELFCARE :HEALTHY HABITS
Healthy habits are difficult to establish but they pay off latter in life.
E.g
1.Eating less salt can keep high blood pressure away.Do not add salt to your tasty and already cooked food.Excess salt can cause water retention in the Body because of Sodium and lead to hypertension.
2.Quiting Smoking to***co will keep away or lower the risk of many cancer such as throat cancer,Lung cancer etc. Reduce the number of ci**rs you use per day gradually and if need be use nicottain tablets or gums.Taking enough water can also reduce the Thirst or desire for To***co.
3.Stop use of alcohol.
This is a difficult decision but it will pay off later in life.Excessive use of alcohol causes liver damage and finally failure.Gradual reduction in amount of liquor can delay further damage to the liver especially in early stages of disease.Excessive use of alcohol also causes heart failure by caused enlargement of the heart.BEWARE BECAUSE IT COMES LATER AFTER PROLONGED USE OF ALCOHOL.
Alcohol has some benefits to the Body but those benefits are less than the risk it poses to human health especially in the Longterm.We encourage one to STOP and talk to a healthcare professional for more information on the RISKS involved with alcohol use.
4.Daily or Regular Exercises.
Including Exercises in our daily routines is the easier way to keeping physically healthy.30 minutes walk daily can help lower the risk for hypertension,diabetes,Cancer and other Non-Communicable diseases such as heart failure etc.
5.Balanced and appropriate diet.
There are foods which expose us to health risks.
Excessive Starch,fatty foods rich in bad cholesterol as well as processed foods are known to pose great threat to our health.
Fruits and vegetables are good to our health especially when included in our daily diets and taken right proportions.
