Mnamu Primary School.

Sanitary pads are important because they provide a safe and hygienic way for menstruating people to manage their menstrual flow. They absorb menstrual blood and prevent it from leaking onto clothing or other surfaces. This helps to prevent embarrassment and discomfort, and it also helps to prevent the spread of germs.

Sanitary pads are also important for public health. When people do not have access to sanitary pads, they may use unsanitary methods to manage their menstruation, such as rags or leaves. This can lead to infections and other health problems.

In addition to their practical benefits, sanitary pads also play an important role in promoting menstrual equity and gender equality. When people have access to affordable and accessible sanitary pads, they can participate fully in all aspects of life, including education, work, and social activities.

Here are some specific reasons why sanitary pads are important:

They help to prevent infections. When menstrual blood is not properly absorbed, it can create a breeding ground for bacteria. This can lead to infections of the v***a, va**na, and urinary tract. Sanitary pads help to absorb menstrual blood and prevent infections.
They help to prevent leaks and accidents. Sanitary pads are designed to absorb large amounts of menstrual blood and prevent it from leaking onto clothing or other surfaces. This helps to prevent embarrassment and discomfort.
They help to promote menstrual equity and gender equality. When people have access to affordable and accessible sanitary pads, they can participate fully in all aspects of life, including education, work, and social activities.

That is why here at Janjaruka Youth Group-JYG we understand that periods are normal, and so is talking about them. That is why we strive to make sure all girls have access to the menstrual products they need.

WORLD TUBERCULOSIS DAY.
Invest to end TB and save a life.

As we join other people around the world to commemorate the TB day, here are some misconceptions you need to avoid;
1. Tuberculosis patients suffer from HIV.
2. Tuberculosis only affects the old and those of a low income class.
3. Tuberculosis cannot reinfect you once you're cured.

Those are just a few misconceptions. For more information about Tuberculosis, consult with a relevant health officer.

Remember, prevention of TB is the responsibility of the community. TB has a vaccine. Vaccinate your babies, its free.
