Mental Health in Work Spaces. THE ART SPACE by iTana Kenya Foundation:

Reflecting on an insightful iTana session yesterday with Jukwaa ARTS Productions Mombasa , where we delved into , mental health conversations specifically tailored to the life of an artist. We openly discussed the often-unseen struggles we face as artists, from managing finances to the constant quest for belonging, challenges that are especially pressing for young creatives.

As we gear up for the December play "Nguo ya Christmas" , the focus turned to the dynamics of teamwork and what it means to be a genuine team player. In an environment where every individual brings unique opinions and ideals, it was unanimously agreed that it’s essential to find balance and respect while staying committed to delivering authentic, powerful performances. This conversation was not just about building stronger characters on stage but about building resilience and support systems offstage as well.

It’s a journey that reminds us how important it is to lift each other up and create spaces where artists can thrive.
Looking forward to translating these insights into our performances as artists!!

I know how it feels to be completely broken inside but everyone thinks you have it all together.

Guys, check up on your friends, people are going through stuff they cannot talk about.
Someone just needs a hug..
While another needs just the presence of someone around them..
While another needs someone to talk to..
While another just needs to be told 'It shall be okay.'..
While another just wants nothing but true people around them..

MOMBASA MOURNS....
Sad news of the passing of Industrialist and Philanthropist Hasmukh Hasuu Patel, the owner of MMombasa Cement Limited a true pillar of our community has caught Mombasa by surprise. His generosity through Mombasa Cement's feeding program, bursaries, and countless hospital bill payments provided countless families with a safety net, ensuring comfort.

Mr. Patel's philanthropic spirit extended far beyond. His unwavering support for those in need will be deeply missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Patel's family and loved ones during this difficult time.
