PURSUING THAT WHICH SUSTAINS.
Allow me to share with you a few nuggets from our just ended Conference.
Judges 1:15 is a short but meaningful verse:
“Give me a blessing; since you have set me in the land of the Negev, give me also springs of water.” So Caleb gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.
This moment involves Achsah, Caleb’s daughter, asking for more than what she was initially given. She already had land—but she recognized it wasn’t enough without water, which was essential for life and fruitfulness.
PURSUING THAT WHICH SUSTAINS REQUIRES YOU TO:
1. Recognize what truly sustains you.
Achsah didn’t settle for land that looked good but lacked what was necessary.
In life, not everything that seems valuable actually sustains you. Life without the Godhead ( God, Christ, the Holy Spirit) the true wellsprings of Life is meaningless. In getting Him, things like purpose, relationships, growth, and inner peace becomes the refreshing "wells of water,” in the dry wilderness of life.
Over the years l discovered that my Faith is the Anchor that helps me stay connected to the source, therefore enabling me to remain steadfast even in difficult times. In 2026, let us grow our faith - IT WILL CARRY US THROUGH THE SEASONS OF LIFE.
1 Corinthians 13:13
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
2. Don’t be afraid to ask for more when it’s justified
Achsa- Caleb's daughter respectfully but boldly asked for what she needed. Land was an external evidence of success, but she discovered she needed more than the externals and the only thing she needed to do is to ASK. Pursuing what matters often requires initiative—speaking up, asking, and seeking rather than passively accepting what you're given.
Today what do you need from our Father God. Just ask in faith
James 4:2:
“You do not have because you do not ask God.” (NIV)
Some things are missing simply because we never seek them from God
Just like Achsah in Judges 1:15 asked for the springs, James reminds us that lack can come from silence—failing to pray, failing to pursue.
Matthew 7:7
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the
