💜💙 World Gynecologic Oncology Day 2025 at Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa

To mark this important day, purple and teal ribbons were shared with staff, patients, and visitors as a show of solidarity and awareness. Our mobile clinic offered free cervical and breast cancer screening, courtesy of the Special Projects Team, while branded lessos with call-to-action messages helped raise further awareness.

We also received a moving story from one of our cancer warriors, a powerful reminder of hope and resilience beyond diagnosis. 🌸

Our resident Consultant Gynecologic Oncologist, Dr. Anisa Mburu, spoke to the local press on the day’s significance; urging early screening and highlighting our ongoing cancer screening offers running until the end of November. Guests and participants left messages of encouragement on our story board, and we were honored to be joined by Dr. Beverly Mitei, Coast Chair of KOGS, who joined us in support of the day’s activities.
