Lions Medical Centre celebrates World PWD Day

On the 3rd December 2025, as the world marked International Day of Persons with Disabilities — under the theme “United in action for disability inclusion” — Lions Medical Centre proudly stood with millions globally in championing inclusivity, dignity, and equitable access to healthcare for all.

This year, 2025 alone, we have performed 1,197 cataract surgeries through our community outreaches and at our outpatient facility, restoring sight and hope to children, adults, and the elderly living with avoidable blindness along the Coast region and beyond.

We were honoured to join other Coasterians at APDK Port Reitz yesterday as we celebrated achievements, advocated for the rights of persons with disabilities, and renewed our commitment to their well-being and full inclusion in society.

At Lions Medical Centre, we remain committed to eliminating preventable blindness, supporting persons with disabilities, and ensuring that no one is left behind.
