S*x Workers Countering GBV and Protecting Health in Asia and the Pacific

Up to 60% of s*x workers in Asia and the Pacific have experienced physical or s*xual violence—including violence by police. This is not just a statistic. It is a systemic failure rooted in stigma, criminalisation, and exclusion.Violence against s*x workers is a human rights violation—and a public health crisis. It undermines community wellbeing, destabilises families, and continues to drive the HIV epidemic across the region.S*x workers are not waiting to be saved. We are organising, leading, and demanding change. This session brings forward a bold, community-led proposal and calls on governments and donors to step up, invest, and be accountable.
