Season’s Greetings from APNSW

As the year comes to a close, we would like to extend our warmest seasonal greetings to our members, partners, allies, and communities across the Asia–Pacific.

Please note that the APNSW Secretariat office will be closed from 25 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, and we will resume work on 5 January 2026.

During this time, we encourage everyone to stay safe, rest when you can, and take a moment to care for yourself and loved ones. Your well-being matters, and taking time to pause is part of sustaining our collective work.

Thank you for your solidarity and collaboration throughout the year. We look forward to continuing our work together in 2026.

With warm wishes,
APNSW Secretariat

Access Chapter 2 Organisation Condemns Brutal Murder of LGBTIQ+ Teen Kwakhanya Mhlanganisi in Khayelitsha.

We are appalled by the horrific killing of 16‑year‑old Kwakhanya Mhlanganisi (Ntlanganiso), a learner at Intlanganiso High School, who was beaten and burned in BT Block, Site C, Khayelitsha on 4 December. The South African Police Service is investigating the incident as a suspected homophobic hate crime.

Our stand:
Access Chapter 2 organisation stands with Kwakhanya’s family and the entire community demanding justice.

Action call:
Anyone with information about this murder must call Crime Stop on 086 001 0111. Your tip can help bring the perpetrators to justice.

We will not rest until the rights of every LGBTIQ+ person are protected and violence has no place in our society.
