About The AgriFI CS AP Project

AgriFI Kenya support to Climate Smart Agricultural Productivity Project (AgriFI Kenya CS APP) is a 5-year Government of Kenya project co-funded through a grant from the European Union. It is implemented by the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) in collaboration with its partners. The project became effective on 4th January 2019.

The AgriFI Kenya CS APP is an integral part of the overall, EU-Kenya-(AgriFI) “Support to productive, adapted and market integrated smallholder agriculture, including a contribution to the Africa Investment Facility” programme. KALRO is responsible for Result 1: Climate change adapted and innovative agricultural technologies with potential for market integration developed and adopted

KALRO has developed technologies to improve and transform agricultural production in Kenya. While many of these innovations have found application, still many more have not been accessible to the farmer. There is need to upscale these technologies for wider market-led adoption. The following value chains/technologies are being up-scaled in this project.
