CHARITY UPDATE – NOVEMBER 2021:

Cooking, packing, and distributing 800 cooked food packs in different parts of the city took almost the entire day, thus the 2nd activity had been differed to the next Sunday, 5th December 2021.

Below are the details for our 2nd part of the charity of this month:

350 Food Hampers to needy families affected by a serious drought in Pakashe, Kajiado Magadi West.

Where: Pakashe, Kajiado Magadi West

When: Sunday, November 5th, 2021, at 07:00am

NOVEMBER 2021 MONTHLY CHARITY EVENTS:

This month food drive location, Kajiado Magadi West, is experiencing a serious drought and residents are in desperate need of any kind of help. We have thus gone beyond our capacity to donate 350 food hampers for basic essentials to help the neediest families.

All families are currently in desperate need, so we wish to increase the number. Please support this needy cause and pledge whatever is possible with God blessed you with.

Each food hampers will have basic stuff for at least one month supplies and cost KES 1,500/= only.

CHARITY UPDATE – SEPTEMBER 2021:

In addition to the monthly events, the society continues to support needy as resources become available:

1. Medical support in the tune of KES 65,000.00 for eye surgery of Ida Achieng Otieno, IP No 10364146: Lions SightFirst Eye Hospital (Sight For Kids Program) supported the surgery free of cost.

2. School fees to three needy children referred by the group members.

3. 70 food hampers equivalent essential food items to TERESA D’LIMA GIRLS’ SECONDARY SCHOOL, MACHAKOS.

4. 40 food hampers to needy elderly in Dandora Slums.

Warmest Greetings!!

Today’s charity event was a great success! Just to keep our members informed, below are the highlights:

1. The cooked food task was more involving then expected – had to cook food 3 times as volunteers were very motivated for filling food packs and distribution locations were distant, thus food hampers distribution to children’s homes was deferred to next Sunday, 4th July 2021.

2. Volunteers supported the event worked tirelessly yesterday and today – some skipped their breakfast and lunch – but they all were very satisfying when even handing over the last box of food packs late in the evening.

3. Most beneficiaries witnessed today are really in need, they are living by a day – missing food many times, so cooked food distribution will be our standing activity as a part of our monthly charity.

4. Some pledges towards our “Education Support” were received but not enough for 10 selected needy children, so we kindly request our members to support this important needy segment to help the disadvantaged community. Collected funds will be deposited directly to school account towards the children account.

5. The group had reached the “Maximum group capacity of 256 participants” a while ago, so many members are not a part of this group but have been extending help in many ways.

Sunday 30th May 2021 monthly charity event was great success! Many Thanks to all our supporters for their continued support!

This month charity has three components, here are few blessed moments to share:

1. 600 cooked food packs distribution to street children & people from Ngara, Gikomba, Pangani, Mlango Kubwa, and Eastleigh.
(coordinated by expert social services providers for such tasks)

2. 55 food hampers equivalent essential food items to Amicable Children’s Home, Thika.

3. 45 food hampers and blankets to needy elderly people of Komarock via Elroi Children’s Home, Komarock.
