🎥 Day 3 | Kisumu Paediatric Surgical Camp 2025

Meet Dr. Francis Osawa, Chairman of the Kenya Association of Paediatric Surgeons (KAPS), as he shares inspiring reflections from our camp in Kisumu County.

With a dedicated team of over 60 healthcare professionals, we’ve provided free surgeries to children in need — changing lives and spreading hope.

A big thank you to all our partners, volunteers, and hospitals who made this mission possible. Together, we’re bringing specialized surgical care closer to every child who needs it. 💙

🎥 Kisumu Paediatric Surgical Camp 2025

We had the honor of hearing from Dr. Lessan, Senior Director of Clinical Services at Kenyatta National Hospital and a dedicated Paediatric Surgeon.

In his message, Dr. Lessan highlighted the importance of bringing specialized surgical care closer to underserved regions like Kisumu and the crucial role of collaboration in improving access to life-saving paediatric surgery.

He emphasized how surgical conditions contribute to child mortality — many of which are treatable with the right expertise and equipment — and reaffirmed KAPS’ commitment to training local teams and advocating for every child’s right to quality surgical care, regardless of financial status or location.

His words remind us that this mission goes beyond surgeries — it’s about building capacity, saving lives, and shaping a healthier future for generations to come. 💙

💙 Surgeries Begin – Kisumu Paediatric Surgical Camp 💙

Today marks a special moment as our doctors and nurses began performing free surgeries for children at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching & Referral Hospital.

Behind every procedure is a story of a child getting a new chance at life, and a family finding hope again. 🙏
We are grateful to all our volunteer paediatric surgeons, anaesthesiologists, and nurses who are dedicating their time and expertise to ensure no child is left behind.

Together, we are building healthier futures – one surgery at a time. ✨
