Judith Awuor: My mission to save lives in the Golden Hour

In Kenya, it can take nearly 2 hours for an ambulance to reach a patient, far from the recommended 15–20 minutes that could save lives. This gap inspired Judith Awuor Oketch, Founder & CEO of Ambulex Solutions, to create a tech-driven emergency response system.

Through our Ambulex App and USSD *789*189 #, we connect patients and survivors of GBV to nearby ambulances, EMTs, and support services — ensuring help arrives when it matters most.

With over 24,000 households registered, 240 ambulances, and 4,000+ emergencies responded to, our mission is simple: affordable, accessible, and timely emergency care within the Golden Hour.

👉 Join us in making emergency care faster and safer for every Kenyan.

Let's Talk About Cyberbullying and GBV

Cyberbullying is a growing concern that can have serious consequences, especially for women and girls. Online harassment and abuse can contribute to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in several ways:

- Emotional Distress: Cyberbullying can cause significant emotional distress, leading to anxiety, depression, and even suicidal thoughts.
- Normalization of Violence: Online abuse can normalize violence against women and girls, perpetuating harmful attitudes and behaviors.
- Increased Vulnerability: Cyberbullying can make women and girls more vulnerable to physical violence, as perpetrators may use online harassment to intimidate or control their victims.

Let's Take Action
- Report Online Harassment: If you or someone you know is experiencing online harassment, report it to the platform or authorities.
- Support Survivors: Let's create a supportive community that believes and amplifies the voices of survivors.
- Educate Yourself: Learn about the impact of cyberbullying and GBV, and share your knowledge with others.

Together, We Can Make a Difference
Let's work together to create a safer and more respectful online community. Share your thoughts and experiences, and let's support each other in the fight against cyberbullying and GBV.

The Hidden Link: How Insecurity Fuels GBV 💔

‎Gender-Based Violence (GBV) often stems from a place of deep-seated insecurity, not love.

‎When an individual feels insecure—whether about their own worth, control, or place in a relationship—they may resort to violence, manipulation, or control tactics to assert power. This isn't about strength; it's a desperate attempt to compensate for a lack of self-worth.

‎* Controlling behavior can be a sign of extreme jealousy and insecurity.
‎* Verbal and emotional abuse- often comes from a need to diminish another person's confidence to feel superior.
‎* Isolation from family and friends is a tactic to create dependence and control.

‎Recognizing this link is a crucial step towards both prevention and healing. True love and respect are built on confidence and equality, not fear and control. Let's create a culture where we address our insecurities without harming others.
