When I was younger, I would never eat any citrus fruit, reason being my first pineapple was bitter, so was my first orange. Back then these were the only citrus fruits I knew of. The lack of eating them affected my immunity gravely, well I was also a very poor feeder π. Viral infections would take ages to completely heal unlike my sisters'.
As I grew up gradually, I got introduced to a variety of foods including citrus fruits and fed a little better on my vegetables π. I once again 'tried' the oranges and pineapples, my body:s immune system got strengthened a good one. I can stay for quite a long while without catching the flu or disease altogether.
When I had my children, I ensured that sweet citrus fruits and foods packed with vitamin C are available to them as God provides π. Their immunity is tremendous, they barely catch the flu and if they do it goes away in 2 days.
As much as citrus fruits strengthens our bodies immunity alongside other benefits, it's also important to emphasis that variety is key. Both fruits and leafy vegetables impact on our immune system in a great way.
