Why I Strongly Oppose Dr. Julius Mbijiwe as Deputy Governor
The nomination of Dr. Julius Mbijiwe as Deputy Governor raises serious concerns that every conscientious citizen must reflect upon. As the Chairman of the NOPE U Party, founded by Hon. Mpuru Aburi, his appointment would not serve the interests of the common mwananchi but rather those of a political outfit with questionable motives.
We must ask ourselves: Is this nomination genuinely about improving our county's welfare, or is it a strategic move to expand a party’s influence and tighten control over county resources? When leadership becomes synonymous with party loyalty rather than public service, the very essence of democracy is threatened.
Hon. Mpuru Aburi’s intentions are increasingly clear—using this position as a gateway to manipulate county affairs and exploit resources meant to benefit the people. The writing is on the wall: installing Dr. Mbijiwe as Deputy Governor could pave the way for mismanagement, political patronage, and unchecked exploitation.
We cannot afford to sit back and watch the county's future be auctioned off to satisfy narrow political interests. This is a clarion call to all well-meaning citizens—reject this blatant attempt at power consolidation and demand leadership that prioritizes service over selfish schemes. The welfare of the people must come before political theatrics and personal gain.
We say a resounding NO to these political shenanigans!
