Menstruation is more than just a monthly event—it’s a vital indicator of health and well-being. The cycle is divided into four key phases:

1️⃣ Menstrual Phase – when the uterine lining sheds.
2️⃣ Follicular Phase – when follicles develop and estrogen rises.
3️⃣ Ovulation Phase – when the mature egg is released.
4️⃣ Luteal Phase – when the body prepares for a possible pregnancy.

By deepening our understanding of these phases, we can foster more informed conversations around reproductive health, break stigma, and promote dignity in menstrual care.

The first period should never feel like a mystery. When parents have open, early conversations about puberty and menstruation, daughters step into this stage feeling prepared, confident, and empowered not afraid or confused. Let’s normalize these talks at home and break the silence around menstruation

On the 13th of August ,we attended the Access to Finance – Mentorship Session, facilitated by the internal audit team at Standard Chartered. We had insightful and practical conversations that entrepreneurs need to keep growing.

Some key lessons for every business owner:

✅ Internal controls matter – building systems helps businesses stay accountable and sustainable.

✅ Cybersecurity isn’t optional – even small businesses must protect themselves against threats.

✅ Financial literacy & record-keeping are game changers – numbers tell the real story of growth.

✅ Data privacy and protection – respecting customer information builds trust and credibility.

✅ And yes, small businesses can harness AI to work smarter, faster, and better.

With the right guidance, knowledge and resilience, small businesses can scale and thrive!

Women’s reproductive health is still one of the most underfunded areas of research globally — yet it directly impacts half the world’s population. From menstrual health to fertility, maternal care, and menopause, the gaps in research leave millions of women without the answers, treatments, and innovations they deserve.

💡 Investing in research funding means:
• Better healthcare solutions tailored for women
• Safer, more effective reproductive health products
• Reduced inequalities in healthcare systems
• Empowering women and girls with knowledge and choices

🚺 Women’s health is not a side issue — it’s a human rights issue and a public health priority. It’s time to increase funding, close the knowledge gaps, and put women’s reproductive health at the center of research and innovation.
