End of Cancer? Russia to Start Human Trials of World’s First AI-Made Cancer Vaccine This Year, Free to the Public

A groundbreaking development in the fight against cancer: Russia is set to begin human trials of the world’s first AI-made cancer vaccine later this year. The vaccine, developed using artificial intelligence, is hailed as a potential game-changer in cancer treatment. What makes it even more revolutionary is that it will be made available for free to the public.

By harnessing the power of AI and machine learning, researchers have designed a vaccine that targets cancer cells more precisely than ever before. This cutting-edge approach aims to train the body’s immune system to recognize and destroy cancer cells without harming healthy tissue, offering new hope for a more personalized and effective treatment.

The vaccine's affordability and accessibility make this a milestone achievement not just for science, but for global healthcare. If successful, it could revolutionize the way we approach cancer treatment, providing millions of people with a potential cure or prevention method.

Massive medical breakthrough: South Korean team reprograms cancer cells into healthy ones without chemo or radiation
Beyond cancer, the BENEIN framework proved effective in other systems. (Representative image)
In a discovery that could rewrite the rules of cancer treatment, scientists in South Korea have reversed the malignant nature of cancer cells — without killing them. Instead of targeting tumors with radiation or chemotherapy, researchers reprogrammed the cells to behave like normal tissue. Their experimental method, tested on colorectal cancer, doesn't destroy tumors — it redeems them

Leading the work is Professor Kwang-Hyun Cho and his team at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), who used a powerful computational model called a digital twin to guide this cellular transformation.

Traditional cancer therapies aim to destroy tumor cells, often damaging nearby healthy tissue and triggering harsh side effects. Cho's team took a different path. Publishing their results in Advanced Science, the researchers outlined a method to steer cancer cells away from uncontrolled growth and back toward a differentiated, stable identity.

At the heart of their method is a computational system called BENEIN (Boolean Network Inference and Control), which models how genes interact inside individual cells. By mapping these interactions, BENEIN identifies key genetic regulators that control whether a cell behaves malignantly or normally.

The study zeroed in on three such regulators — MYB, HDAC2, and FOXA2. “The simultaneous knockdown of MYB, HDAC2, and FOXA2 strongly induces differentiation into normal-like cells,” the researchers reported.

Using data from 4,252 intestinal cells, the team reconstructed a gene network with 522 components. Simulations predicted that turning off these three genes would halt cancer cell proliferation. The prediction held up in lab-grown colorectal cancer cell lines and in animal models.

In human cell lines HCT-116, HT-29, and CACO-2, the triple knockdown slowed cell growth more effectively than knocking down any single gene. When these treated cells were implanted into mice, the resulting tumors were significantly smaller in both size and weight than those from untreated controls.

Further analysis showed that treated cells expressed markers typical of healthy intestinal cells, such as KRT20 and VDR, while cancer-associated pathways like MYC and WNT were suppressed. The gene expression patterns also closely matched those of healthy tissue samples in The Cancer Genome Atlas.

Beyond cancer, the BENEIN framework proved effective in other systems. It accurately identified key regulators in mouse hippocampus development and T cell activation, outperforming existing tools like SCENIC and VIPER.

While challenges remain—such as adapting the method to various tissues and ensuring the long-term stability of reverted cells—the potential is profound. If refined and clinically applied, this technique could shift cancer treatment from destruction to reprogramming.

The study, Control of Cellular Differentiation Trajectories for Cancer Reversion, was published on December 11, 2024, in Advanced Science.

LANGUAGE DEBATE
As at Independence Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria etc borrowed the language of the colonizer , English, and used it as the official language. It is the language of instruction in schools, preaching the gospel, commerce and industry in these countries. Nigeria later became a great promoter of "popular" culture. Kiswahili was given official Status in Tanzania as languages of African nationals like Hehe, Nyamwezi, Chagga etc were being subtly suppressed. Later Kenya followed in Kiswahilinisation and disregard of local national lannguages. Today, Kiswahili is accepted for use in the East Africa Parliament. English is being challenged. The Kenyan most prolific literary giant, Ngugi wa Thiongo, who today lives in America, shocked the whole world when he started advocating for the use of local African vernaculars in discourse and scholarship. He stopped doing his writings in English and even went a hitch higher and started writing in Gīkūyū his mother tongue. Literary critics continue to debate Ngugi's recourse. He had learned English at Makerere in Uganda. Achebe would argue for the use of the colonizer's weapon; English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish to deal with him. He gave a cold reception to the idea of writing in mother-tongue. Ngugi would prefer that creative writers write in mother-tongue and his non-Gikuyu readers get the benefit of reaching his writings through translations. After all, hasn't the Bible reached us through translations? The Bible translation process has been smooth and very enriching with many languages being reimagined. Nobody has ever accused Jews of being tribalist for speaking Hebrew. From Hebrew, the Bible has been translated first to Greek, Latin, then English, German etc. Today, the Bible is in very many vernacular languages. If the Bible is not in your vernacular indicate here. You could also say your experience of reading the Bible in different languages. Which language are you most fluent in? How do you express yourself internationally?

CIRCUMCISION OR UNCIRCUMCISION?
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.(Galatians5:6)
This should be read in connection with the circumcision controversy in Acts 15 where some believers from circumcising culture are forcing those from non-circumcising culture to be circumcised. Some Africans strongly believe circumcision makes them mature and strong yet they themselves were colonised by the uncircumcised foreigners. Despite of this, controversies revolving around circumcision and Female Ge***al Mutilations continue . Note this on circumcision:
Decline in circumcision in the English-speaking world began in the post-war period. The British paediatrician Douglas Gairdner published a famous study in 1949, The fate of the foreskin,[88][89] described as "a model of perceptive and pungent writing."[90] It revealed that for the years 1942–1947, about 16 children per year in England and Wales had died because of circumcision, a rate of about 1 per 6000 circumcisions.[88] The article had an influential impact on medical practice and public opinion.[91]
In 1949, a lack of consensus in the medical community as to whether circumcision carried with it any notable health benefit motivated the United Kingdom's newly formed National Health Service to remove infant circumcision from its list of covered services. Since then, circumcision has been an out-of-pocket cost to parents, and the proportion of circumcised men is around 9%.[92]
Similar trends have operated in Canada, (where public medical insurance is universal, and where private insurance does not replicate services already paid from the public purse) individual provincial health insurance plans began delisting non-therapeutic circumcision in the 1980s. Manitoba was the final province to delist non-therapeutic circumcision, which occurred in 2005.[93] The practice has also declined to about nine percent of newborn boys in Australia and is almost unknown in New Zealand.

Kenya is not voiceless in the circumcision and clitoridectomy debate. The entire subject of rites of passage and more so the initiation one with practices like circumcision, Female Ge***al Mutilation, Removal of Teeth etc cannot be ignored in the present times . It has its share of questions and concerns mainly ;
1. Is it necessary in shaping morals of society?
2. Does it lead to success in life?
3. What is its role in national development?
4. Does it promote national cohesion?
5. DOES IT PROMOTE ACADEMIC COMPETENCE?
6. Does it promote the health of the individual and nation?
7. Should it be performed in modern hospitals by qualified medical officers or in the bush/forests by traditional priests who are not exposed to modern education?
8. To what extent should the rites be nationalized and be financed by the state and follow a state calendar and a state prescribed mode of operation?
9. Should tribes be allowed to enforce the practices against unwilling tribesmen or even other tribes?
10. To what extent should Christians copy the declining trend of circumcision in English-speaking countries?
We can answer these questions guided by Christian principles and good medical practices.

He who regards one day as special ,does so to the Lord. He who eats meat ,eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains , does so to the Lord and gives thanks to the God. For none of us lives to himself alone. Romans14:6

Greco- Roman gods and goddesses were allowed to take control of the christian faith causing a lot deviation from what Jesus Christ of Nazareth and his fishermen disciples had started. Jesus was setting people free from the legalism of Judaism but His project was hijacked by the Romans. While the Christian God had himself created humans in His own image, the Greco- Romans made their pantheon in their own image. Zeus, Athena, Apollos, Diana, Hera, Queens of heaven etc. Who will save from this polytheism? One of the Canaanites was not as bad! Romish religiosity is just horribly repugnant.I would rather be with the disciples of Jesus in Acts 2ff.
