LEARN AND UNLEARN FROM ME
Peeing more than two times a night is not normal.
I don’t care what you told yourself. I don’t care that your father did it too. I don’t care that you Googled it and the internet said “drink less water before bed.”
If you are waking up 2, 3, 4 times a night to urinate — your body is telling you something. And it is not “drink less water.”
It could be your blood sugar. Elevated glucose makes your kidneys work overtime to flush the excess. Your body is literally peeing out the sugar you ate for dinner.
It could be your prostate. Enlarged. Inflamed. Pressing on your bladder. Not because of age. Because of what you have been eating for twenty years.
It could be your blood pressure. The kidneys and the heart are in constant conversation. When one is struggling, the other compensates. At night, that compensation shows up as frequent urination.
It could be all three. At the same time. Working together to wake you up every two hours while you blame the heat.
The heat is not waking you up. Your plate is.
Stop normalising it. Stop managing it. Get tested. Check your fasting sugar. Check your PSA. Check your blood pressure. Then reach out.
Your body is not supposed to wake you up more than twice at night to urinate. That is not a feature. That is a warning.
Night is for sleep not peeing!
