🔵 BlueRibboner of the Week: Vincent Ooro Otieno and on Instagram
Meet Vinnie - the man behind the lens, the silent sniper of moments, and the reason you suddenly discover you “run well” after seeing your photos. 📸😄
Vincent Ooro is a Nairobi-based sports photographer and videographer who specializes in high-impact visual storytelling. His craft? Capturing movement, performance, and those raw, unfiltered moments like the ones that define the Blue Ribbon experience.
With a background in football media and data, Vinnie doesn’t just take pictures - he tells stories. Structured, intentional, and always on point, his work mirrors the energy, grit, and vibes of every run, hike, and event we put together.
Why he moves: For Vinnie, movement is discipline, consistency, and mental clarity. It fuels both his creativity and performance; allowing him to operate at a high level in fast-paced, demanding environments.
Vinnie says Blue Ribbon gives him a space where lifestyle meets community. Where people show up with intention. Where experiences are not just attended…but felt.
And for him personally? It’s been a rewarding journey - creatively and professionally (with a few referrals here and there 👀).
From our desk…Vinnie is the definition of professionalism. Consistent. Reliable. Always delivering. He has been present at every Blue Ribbon event - capturing the sweat, the smiles, the struggle, the chumas, and the medals; and turning them into memories that live far beyond race day.
A well-loved figure in the community…(though we must address the small matter of his “clients” who keep shouting at him: “Vinnie nikikosa kuonekana utaniona!” 😂). Poor fellow.
But also, we need to talk. Boss…when are you running? Kila siku ni senkee tu 😅
Give Vinnie his flowers 👇🏾
Drop a 📸 or 👏🏾 in the comments if he has ever captured you in your glory (or your survival mode 😄).
