Pefa Syokimau Hope Centre

Pefa Syokimau Hope Centre Advocacy for children living in poverty by providing holistic care so that they have hope and thrive Kwambemba, Mlolongo, Sabaki and Kicheko.

Started in 2015, we are a Child Development Centre located in Syokimau Community under the leadership Bishop Paul Munyiri, Senior Pastor at Pefa Syokimau Community Church. We advocate for children living in hard places (poverty) by providing holistic care so that they have hope and thrive. We provide programs that address the development of these children in four outcome areas namely:

1. Spiritual Development:
- Growth in the Word of God, Prayer, Worship and Fellowship so that the child demonstrates awareness of and experiencing God's truth in love.

2. Physical Development:
- The child exhibits good health practices, free from preventable diseases and access appropriate medical care.

3. Social-Emotional Development:
- Treats others with respect and dignity (exhibits determination, curiosity and Godly character)
- Growth and development of talents
- Mentorship Programs

4. Cognitive Development:
- The child demonstrates years of educational attainment.
- The child is endowed with livelihood skills

Other Information:

We currently support 198 children from hard places within Syokimau and it's environs, i.e. The centre receives support from OneChild. You have a heart for children and would like to support in cash or in kind or in offering a voluntary service, our doors are wide open, we gladly appreciate all our well wishers.

Every child has a unique Christmas story to tell, but not all have the words to express it. That's where Child Champions come in – helping little ones write amazing letters about their holiday experiences.
Let's give our children a voice this Christmas season!

For children growing up in poverty, hope and joy are a lifeline. They face many storms, yet it is God’s joy that helps them stand strong, even in the toughest moments. This joy is what empowers them to dream and to believe in a brighter future. Let’s keep this joy alive in their hearts through our prayers, our support, and our commitment to walking alongside them.

Join us in a prayer for the children and their Child Champions in hard places around the world:

Heavenly Father, we lift up the precious children in hard places, asking for Your protection, guidance, and abundant blessings over their lives. Grant them courage to overcome obstacles and hope to dream boldly. We pray for the Child Champions, that You strengthen and encourage them as they tirelessly support and nurture these children. May Your love shine through them, illuminating the path to a brighter future. In Jesus' name, amen. 🙏

A bean plant sprouted in a classroom because there was just some little soil.Today a child will thrive because of just some little hope given to her/him.Child champions have endeavoured to give this hope and love to the children.
