🎯Celebrating 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.



AFUB team joined students, boardmembers, teacher and parents of st. Francis school for the visually blind, kapenguria, West Pokot County for an exchange on challenges facing inclusive education in conflict and crisis situation.

In honor of this day the students planted trees, an initiative which aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 15, which emphasizes the importance of protecting, restoring, and promoting sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems.

The tree-planting initiative aims to not only enhance the environmental landscape of West Pokot County but also foster greater inclusion and participation for persons with disabilities.

Together, we can create a more inclusive and sustainable future for all.

🎯Disability Inclusion in Universal Health Care Coverage was part of the conversation during the conference.

🎀The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Persons states that persons with have the right to freeor affordable health care, including sexual and reproductive health and population-based public health programmes. And they also have the right to access disability specific health services .

🎀Stakeholders shared measures that can be taken to improve inclusion of persons with disabilities in health programmes and how the needs of persons can be taken into account in Universal Health Programming.
