KESES is a regulating and training platform for endoscopic specialists in Kenya.

As a society, The Kenya Society of Endoscopic Specialists (KESES), we play a major role in ensuring sustainable healthcare services to the communities we serve. For us, capacity building amongst healthcare professionals and an increase in patient health awareness will create a better and healthier Kenya. Currently majority of the surgical cases done on women and children in Kenya are performed through open surgery. Open procedures have proven to have strenuous effects on our economy and families. The time taken by these patients in hospital, to recover well and fit to return to work is disheartening. However, endoscopic surgery has been a great solution because the patients are attended to as a daycare or short-stay cases, hence no time spent in hospital, reduced pain, and quicker recovery.
