🎯 Tuesday Reflection – Intentional Parenting
🌸 Dear Parents,
As you interact with your child this midterm holiday, remember:
Sometimes, it’s not what you say to your child
It’s how you say it.
That shift in your tone.
That look of disappointment.
That silence that feels louder than shouting. 😶🌫️
Your child may not always speak up...
But they feel it.
They notice when your love feels conditional.
When your approval seems earned — not freely given. 🥺
So they learn:
• To explain themselves before anyone accuses them.
• To hide their tears so no one mocks them.
• To take the blame — even when they’re hurting. 💧
Because in your home...
• Mistakes might mean lectures. 📢
• Sadness might be labeled lazy. 💤
• And needing love might be called being spoiled. 🙄
So they shrink.
They toughen up.
They wear a smile and call it strength. 😐
But deep down... they’re aching. 💔
This is what it means to feel Unparented —
Raised, but not held.
Corrected, but never comforted.
Taught to behave, but not how to feel.
But here’s the hope:
You can change that. 💛
You can choose gentleness.
You can offer safety.
You can parent differently.
Even if your voice shakes...
Even if your own childhood taught you to suppress —
You can break the cycle.
And your child will remember —
Not your perfection, but your presence. 👣
Keep going.
You’re not just raising a child...
You’re rewriting a story. 🌱
